Ok so now I guess I’m doing all my ship’s babies, send help. The Dwelfs, or the Lavellan-Tethras family. Vel and Varric’s kiddos!

Their daughter Nadia was born shortly after the events of Trespasser. She was quite unexpected, as they didn’t think it likely that Vel would ever get pregnant. But, as is her luck, she did - and it prompted a massive panic from Varric. Josephine had to plan an entire wedding in three months, with a guest list as long as the Iron Bull is tall. But it all worked out in the end, and one shotgun wedding and missing arm later, little Noddy arrived. She was the sweetest, smallest baby Thedas had ever seen - and thus easily charmed the entire Inquisition, especially her auntie Josie. In appearance she resembles both of her parents, with her mother’s dainty features and her father’s golden-brown eyes. As a child, she followed her father around like a little shadow, and on more than one occasion begged to accompany him on official Viscount business(to which he enthusiastically agreed). To nobody’s surprise, she grew up to be quite the charmer; a spectacular conversationalist and accomplished diplomat, she later moved to Orlais as a teenager to fill a new position(reserved especially for her by her favorite aunt Josephine) as the ambassador of Kirkwall.

Their twins, Gaten and Garrett, were born 4 years after Nadia. Official Kirkwall natives, Varric loves to tell the story of how they crawled their way to the Hanged Man and gave Vel such a fright that she had the entire guard looking for them while they slept soundly in the tavern, oblivious to their mother’s panic. They’re nearly identical as twins often are, except for a few key differences. Garrett(named after Hawke) has Vel’s lyrium-blue eyes, and Gaten... Well, there’s something odd about him. Nobody quite knows what, but Varric remembers a certain strange young dwarf named Sandal that was similar to him. He means well, and is a highly intelligent young man, but he’s plagued by nightmares and other strange, sometimes magical occurrences(especially remarkable since he’s half-dwarf). Dorian continues to study him closely, trying to get to the bottom of the problems that seem to follow the boy, but he hasn’t found any answers. Though, he seems to think it has something to do with Vel’s strong magic bloodline and possibly her exposure to the Anchor. The boys, however, are close - thick as thieves, some might say. Garrett dotes on Gaten, and is always there to comfort him in his time of need.
