this week's ep of the rehearsal is literally evidence that nathan fielder is 8 steps ahead of everybody else at all times like it's really funny to view the twitter pearl clutching abt him in retrospect bc the sheer audacity of the assumption that the man isn't acutely aware of the ethical dilemmas of his method hdhdhhs he knows what he's doing!! he knows exactly what people are thinking/saying about him!! twitter rallying for a hands-on moral examination of his 'manipulative' tactics and his own show proving to be a better and more sophisticated exploration of just ...that. is so fucking funny . nathan fielder has everyone wrapped around his fingers including YOU

Ok since Tumblr apparently loves my takes on Nathan Fielder...... the whole thing about him striving for a perfect replication of reality goes WAY beyond the physical realm. In The Fielder Method he gets to know nearly everything about Thomas through playing him as a character and even moving into his apartment, but even still he feels there is a piece missing. THE ONE VARIABLE NATHAN FIELDER CANNOT CONTROL FOR IS HUMANITY. Simply by virtue of being human beings, we are much too intricate to replicate and contain. You cannot perfectly reproduce something so imperfect.
