Fjdjxj congratulations you've opened the Zal's Got Kids box. I rolled my diceroller and came up with Thera-Nal, the Voss bb that Zal yoinked as an apprentice.
She's a sweetie. She's extremely levelheaded and practical, although considering she was apprenticed to Zal this isn't a big surprise lmfao. He teaches practicality, self-reliance, and supporting each other. So even though she's a little put off by the viciousness of Koriatta, she'd still drop what she's doing to go help her. Each of Zal's kids apprentices shares that same 'will drop everything for an SOS' response. They rely on each other and can COUNT on each other to be reliable.
Thera-nal may well be the most chill out of all Zal's kids. She's bright, and quick, and friendly. She isn't held by preconceptions about Sith or Jedi, just the knowledge that what she was taught on Voss isn't the end-all-be-all of the galaxy. She approached Zal when he was on his way off the planet, asked to come with. She wanted to learn how to fight and what the rest of the galaxy had to offer. She's a bit of an anthropologist at heart, so she fit right in with the whole Inquisitor Nerd Brigade lmfao.
She's also, in my main continuity, the one who gets locked in carbonite for kotfe. Valkorion hitches a ride in her skull, but only for so long. Zal, after HE gets yoinked from an 8 year deep freeze in a stasis chamber--yoinked by Lana--after the yoinking of Thera-nal from Zakuul, snatches that crusty bitch out of her head, which was preceded by one of the most metal lines Zal's ever fckn said imo.
She doesn't have to deal with Ghost Bitch in her head because Zal's not letting his fckn kid suffer that. They sit down together and Zal lays out his ultimatum to Valkorion. Either he switches heads willingly, or Zal pulls him out, even if he has to peel him up one thread at a time, piece by piece.
This was mainly an excuse to have Zal do the 8-year-stasis-stint but still be Outlander/Commander status lmfao, but that's where I'm at with that lol. What better way to get him through stasis AND getting Valkorion than appealing to his Major Dad Instincts of 'u don't get to fuck with my kid, take me instead'. Which is something he decides MOMENTS after learning that Thera-nal is alive. That most of his kids are missing but SHE is alive and SHE is here. And she's suffering something he can take from her, and hold himself.
