i just want to say that in-ho is a top. he doesn’t switch, he’s never on the bottom. and if you try to put him on the bottom, he will choke you out.

interesting thing i just noticed ; i hc that the recruiter reads carl jung books and inho canonically reads lacanian books . so basically inho thinks these games are just the cruel truth of humanity and recruiter sees them as trial of the souls ? necessary . inho thinks humanity is hopeless and wanting to be something it'll never be , and recruiter thinks every player has a potential of rebirth if they can really get their heads in the game . there's something weirdly poetic about inho's detached dismissal of human nature and how recruiter is clinging to it despite the fact that he knows how useless humans are . he sees gihun as trash but he knows he himself is disposable too . he dies knowing gihun will fuck up their game , terrified but knowing it's necessary .

NAME. hwang in-ho.   NICKNAMES. the frontman.  AGE. 44.    SPECIES. human. MORALITY. lawful / neutral / chaotic / good / grey / evil. SINS. lust / greed / gluttony / sloth / pride / envy / wrath. VIRTUES. chastity / charity / diligence / humility / kindness / patience / justice. PRIMARY GOALS IN LIFE. a long time ago, he only wanted one thing: you keep his family afloat. currently, as the front man, he doesn’t have any life / personal goals. he’s serving under someone, and now he’s just doing what he’s told.  BUILD. slender / scrawny / bony / fit / athletic / curvy / herculean / babyfat / pudgy / obese / HEIGHT. 5′10 SCARS/BIRTHMARKS. there are a few scars from the game he participated in, as well as from the men he used to work with, but they’ve mostly healed. if you look close, you can sometimes see a few white marks that haven’t healed all the way, on his shoulders and back and chest. ABILITIES/POWERS. he’s a highly respected fingure, simply because he does what he does. but after winning his fame, he trained for 5 years in professional combat. he can also be useful with both guns and katanas. thinking about how in-ho and jun-ho’s father was a detective, and he got hurt on the job. when he couldn’t work anymore, all the financial responsibility fell on the eldest son, in-ho. he tried for a long time to get a “normal job”, but he was either scammed or laid off from each one. and that’s how he got into gambling / dealing / how he got in with a bad crowd.

                    the way i see my frontman is that he’s been conditioned to seem cold and distant because... that’s what he needed to do to survive. not just with the games, but as soon as in-ho got in with the wrong crowds when he was younger, people would take advantage of him if he didn’t learn to separate himself from his humanity and morals. after the games, this all solidified, of course, and he just couldn’t go back to a normal life, dispite making amends with his family and having everything he needed and more. he was too far gone, you could say.

he’s very stand offish and professional and cold on the outside, but he’s still very much struggling on the inside. but he pushes all of that trauma etc. down because he has a job to do now. once he shoots his brother and that guilt starts, i think he realizes that he’s not as made of stone as he made himself believe. i don’t think he’s actually heartless, but he needs to make himself believe he is in order to continue living. it’s a self preservation thing.
