The origins of the villain known as The Gasser remains unknown. He attacked Danger Street wearing a specialized suit that dispensed a noxious gas. He was defeated by the oddball group of young heroes called The Dingbats. The Gasser first appeared in the pages of First Issue Special #6 (1975).
