those white men LOVEEE to segregate poc and non-english speakers. they did it with the latin categories, the 'urban music' categories that they only JUST got rid of in 2020, and now they're doing it to the asians with that fuckass best asian pop category and mind u they only mentioned music from east asian countries and not anything from south and southeast asia

The Grammys have always been racist. Artists, white artists, from the UK and other places in the world can win Grammys indiscriminately, but the Black and Brown artists can’t. No. New categories have to be made and thought of as some gift when really it’s an insult that says we are not good enough to be part of the main event. It’s a consolation prize. Our work is somehow less than because of the color of our skin and the fact that we may not be from the US and/or speak the same language. Never mind the Grammys propping themselves up as thee music award show of all music award shows. They added that dumb afrobeats category to try and pigeonhole Tyla when baby girl doesn’t do afrobeats. She’s a whole ampiano artist and has been very clear about that. BTS said they’re not taking the bait and won’t be submitting to the Grammys which is very brave and commendable. They saw it for what it was and said nope. Mind you, they’re not simply refusing to submit to the category. They’re skipping the Grammys as a whole, because of the way they tried to play in their face. Idc what anyone says. This is not inclusive. It is alienating and an attempt to push Black and Brown artists out of the main categories. And the people who are saying “They can still submit to the main categories” are missing the point just as much as the people who are saying that the Grammys are an American show. THEY 👏🏾 DON’T👏🏾WANT👏🏾US👏🏾THERE👏🏾PERIOD!!! African American artists have been saying this! It is evident in how we are always treated by the academy. A lot of you just refuse to listen.

Some BTS fans are literally claiming that The Grammys will flop because BTS didn't submit their music and don't want anything to do with the Academy of Music.

I am so annoyed and these fans make me so embarrassed. To act like The Grammys depend on BTS and wouldn't be nothing without them is lunacy. Certifiable craziness. If you think that you need to be checked into a psych ward.

This is when you take being a fan too far and just start spurting out straight craziness. Then it's a hive mentality because a bunch of other anonymous young fans are agreeing with you online. So you think your lunacy is correct.

Mind you the majority of the artists that I listen to on the regular, have never won a Grammy.

Some were nominated and didn't win.

Some did win, but only have the one Grammy award to their name.

Then the others ones, have probably never been nominated because there is not a category for the type of music they create.

Some of y'all make it embarrassing to say I like BTS. I also want to point out that I know for a fact the people behind the accounts that say this are children. People born pass 2010. Cause I just can't believe that a grown person would have these opinions.
