Gus turned 17 yesterday. He’s living out his senior years with my sister in her new home in Maine. He has taken a vow of silence - apparently, except in his sleep, he doesn’t bark anymore - and he’s having a blast chasing wild turkeys, hunting for mushrooms and frolicking in the snow.

Gus is now a Maine dog. Reports are that he loves it and has been frolicking like a puppy. But it’s cold. So he got jammies. But the Walmart didn’t have jammies for dogs. So he’s wearing baby jammies.
