Come As You Are pt. 2
Hacker x female!Reader
Hacker went home that night, already excited for the job. He didn’t care about finding the girl. Honestly, he thought about taking his time with finding her so he could end up getting more money out of it, but Villin was smarter than Hacker thought and told Hacker to give him information every three days. That was fine by Hacker, he was still getting a lot of money after all. Despite this, finding the snobby bitch was not something on the forefront of his mind. That space was reserved for Prince, who, after the meeting with his employer discovered his name was Adam Harris. Hacker knew the Harrises well, having worked for them on more than one occasion. He knew of the heir but not much besides he was like every other rich boy that lived with their parents. Snobbish, arrogant, and stupid. Hacker did remember an instance in which he had to cover something up for the Harrises. Back then it was just another job, but now that Hacker was really thinking about it, he was pretty sure it had something to do with their son. This thought process had ultimately led Hacker to stay up until daybreak searching through his files for the cover up. Unfortunately, when Hacker had finally found the files he was looking for, he was called back to the Villin mansion to look at their security feed. Which is where Hacker was now, listening to an annoying, large man as he told him about the missing files. Hacker wondered why he couldn’t have done it from his home when Villin had entered the room. The fat man began to speak, but Hacker raised his hand, sighing as he dropped into the uncomfortable computer chair behind him.
“There’s nothing useful on the security feed. It's been wiped clean. Whoever kidnapped your daughter was careful to cover their tracks.” Hacker rasped out, clearing his throat afterwards. He’d been here all day and had only been drinking energy drinks that take away more than they give. Villin nodded, motioning for Hacker to follow him. Hacker rolled his eyes as he did so, part of him wishing he could just go home and go to bed.
“Is there anything you can get from her room maybe? Nothing is out of place, but I wouldn’t put it past a criminal to drug her and take her while she’s asleep.” Hacker could have laughed. He said criminal as if he wasn’t enlisting the help of one. They climbed the stairs, Villin talking the whole way there as Hacker thought of his bed. They reached a door and instantly Hacker noticed it was different from the rest of the house. Colorful beads hung from the door frame in front of a door covered in paintings of flowers. It was so unlike the rest of the house that it took Hacker away from his thoughts of his bed.
“This is my daughter’s room. Unfortunately, she never listens to me about the decor. It clashes so drastically from the rest of the house so I apologize for it in advance,” Villin handed him a key with sunflowers on it, “This is the key. Go ahead and look everywhere. I haven’t been in there for God knows how long so I apologize again if it’s messy. Seeing his job was done, Villin left, taking the stairs two at a time. Hacker looked at the door for a bit longer, noticing that there were bees on some of the flowers on the door. Whatever Hacker thought Villin’s daughter’s door would look like, this wasn’t it. This didn’t look like a rich bitch’s door. Now Hacker was intrigued. Who is the heiress? Hacker walked towards the door, opening it only to be struck. Hacker didn’t know much about decor besides what he did to his home, but he did know that the room wasn’t as Villin had described it. There was an electric guitar in one corner of the room, in another there were shelves upon shelves of plants. The room was messy, but not in the ‘clothes all over the floor’ way as Hacker had pictured. There were paint tubes, brushes, and pencils everywhere. Paper with gorgeous drawings were everywhere on the walls. Easels with paint splattered on them. This was the room of someone alive. That was the only way Hacker could describe it.
As Hacker walked into the room, he discovered new layers of the room that couldn’t be seen from just the doorway. Despite how colorful and beautiful the room was, Hacker couldn’t help but think of a bird in a cage tearing apart the things it was given to make the things it wanted. He thought of the forced marriage the girl was supposed to be in and began to think that maybe he wasn’t too far away from the truth. He dropped the key onto the desk covered in the least amount of paint and picked up the laptop that was on it. He turned with the device in his hand and dropped on to the bed. It bounced under his weight as he took off his boots. If he was going to be here for a while, he might as well be comfortable. After settling onto the pillows, Hacker got to work. He used the usb that hung around his neck to open the computer to him. His own personal key to anyone's computer. He took a second to admire the girl on the homescreen surrounded by dogs. On the crop top she was wearing were the words ‘I Heart Rescues’. A gorgeous girl with a heart. Hacker couldn’t help but think of all the ways the poor girl could get hurt because of her obvious innocence and naivety. Hacker was beginning to think that maybe the kidnapping thing wasn’t that far off until he found a video. It had its own home on the homescreen, the words ‘I’m sorry’ underneath the cover image of the video. He clicked it and was met with the same beautiful girl from the homescreen except this time her face was red and puffy from the tears that streaked her face. It seemed Hacker was gonna figure out what Harris did a lot sooner than later.
“I’m sorry for leaving daddy,” The way her lips shaped around the word ‘daddy’ caught Hacker’s attention for all the wrong reasons. Hacker pushed the thought aside and continued watching the video.
“I’m sorry I left and that I’ve ruined your company. I just can’t do it. I can’t marry him. I don’t know him! I don’t know who he is, or what he likes. I don’t even know his first name! I don’t love him and I don’t want to be stuck in a marriage where my only use is to be a fucking hier maker!” She hiccuped in between her words before she grabbed the laptops screen and pulled it closer to her neck. There were purple marks all over her neck in the shape of two hands. Hacker added ‘angry issues’ on the growing list of things he didn’t like about Harris.
“This is what your prefect son in law did to me! And it was all because I told him I didn’t want to have sex until I loved him and he loved me! I’m not handing out my virginity to some asshole who's never been told the word ‘no’ in his entire life. He told me he owned me! That I was obligated to give him whatever he wanted. I kicked him in the balls and smacked him square in the face. I’m done with everyone controlling everything about my life. I left daddy. And I won’t come back until you learn that I’m not something you can control!” She rubbed her eyes, clearing the tears from her eyes. Hacker saw a fire in her eyes. A fire that threatened to burn everything down around them. A fire that told him that this bird was leaving her cage whether her owner wanted her to or not. This was different from what he was expecting. So, so different. She was wild and untamed, so unlike the other rich bitches Hacker had met before. Hacker decided that maybe he wanted to find this little bird that left home and maybe figure her out. Hacker thought about whether he should show his employer but then decided against it. He wouldn’t want to ruin the game too soon.
Hacker got up, grabbing the laptop and putting it in the bag that carried his own. He had thrown the bag over his shoulders when he noticed a watering can next to the plants. He grabbed it and poured the water into their pots. Then, he walked out of the room, key in his pocket. He had more things to do, people to interrogate, and a little bird to find.
Here's the newest part to Come As You Are! I hope you all enjoyed it. Hope you enjoyed your granduation from rich bitch to little bird! Sorry there isn't a lot of snarky Hacker. I wanted this to be where Hacker discovers she isn't who he thought! Next one might take a while because I have things to do in between these chapters but I promise it'll be good! See you all later!
