Jesse Cromeans
Jesse sat parked across the street in his black luxury car. He had been watching you for weeks and you were already the most precious thing in his world even if you did not know it yet. When he saw you sitting at a cafe table laughing while another man leaned in too closely his posture went stiff behind his polished chrome mask. His gloved fingers tapped slowly and firmly on the steering wheel as a silent warning to himself and the stranger.
He adjusted his tailored suit and took off his mask and stepped out of the vehicle looking calm, tall, and impossible to ignore. The moment the other man tried to place his hand over yours Jesse walked straight to the table ignoring every other person in the room. He pulled out a chair right beside you and set an expensive silver necklace down between you.
He did not say a single word. He simply tilted his head slightly, fixed his gaze on the stranger, and waited. His presence alone felt heavy and commanding enough to make the air feel colder. The man turned pale, fumbled for an excuse, and hurried away without looking back.
Jesse turned his full attention to you. He slid the necklace closer with careful fingers and brushed his hand lightly against yours. Every move showed he claimed you gently but completely. He did not need speech to tell you that you belonged only to him.
Jason Voorhees
Jason stood hidden behind the thick trees near Crystal Lake holding a freshly picked bouquet of wild flowers. He felt that warm soft feeling in his chest whenever he saw you but today that feeling turned to confusion and quiet irritation. There you were walking along the shore while a stranger walked too close and tried to put his arm around your shoulders. A low rumble vibrated deep in his chest as he decided this person did not belong near what he already guarded as his own.
He did not want to frighten you so he started making loud noises instead. He snapped heavy branches and knocked over a large fallen log making a loud crash echo across the water. The stranger jumped and looked around nervously. Jason stepped out from behind the trees tall, broad, and imposing with his hockey mask glinting in the sunlight.
The man screamed and stumbled backward before running so fast he nearly tripped into the lake. Jason did not chase him. He turned slowly toward you and tilted his head like a worried giant puppy. He held out the flowers with his large hands being extra careful not to crush the stems.
He stood perfectly still waiting for you to take them. When you smiled and accepted his gift his whole posture relaxed. He patted his own chest firmly then pointed directly at you, making it clear without sound that only he would keep you safe and no one else was allowed near.
Michael Myers
Michael stood motionless across the street watching you with unblinking focus. He had followed you many times already and you were different from everyone else. You did not feel like a target but something he felt driven to protect and possess. When he saw you walking and talking with another man his shoulders tensed slightly and his head tilted in silent judgment.
When the stranger opened a car door for you Michael decided he had seen enough. He began walking across the road slow, steady, and completely unbothered by anything around him. The other man noticed him and stepped forward trying to look confident.
Michael did not react to the man’s words. He just stared past him directly into your eyes through the holes in his mask. He took one more slow step forward and the air suddenly felt heavy and tense. The man’s courage vanished instantly. He backed away slowly until he reached his car then jumped inside and drove off with tires screeching loudly.
Michael raised one large hand and pointed firmly at himself. Then he placed that same hand gently but firmly over your chest right above your heart. He held it there for a moment as if sealing a promise. He needed no voice to tell you that you were his now and forever and no one else would ever come that close again.
Thomas Hewitt
Thomas stood near the edge of the Hewitt property wiping grease from his hands while he watched you walk along the road. When he saw a stranger walking beside you and offering to carry your bag his jaw tightened visibly under his leather mask. He did not trust outsiders and he certainly did not trust this man acting as if he had any right to help you or stand beside you.
He gripped the handle of his chainsaw and pulled the starter cord. The loud roar echoed across the fields making birds fly from the trees in a rush. Thomas stepped forward holding the running tool low to show strength without being aggressive. He shook his head once sharp and clear as a warning for the man to leave.
The stranger dropped your bag immediately and turned white with fear. He yelled something about crazy locals before turning and running as fast as his legs could carry him. Thomas shut off the chainsaw right away and set it aside quickly so it would not scare you further.
He looked at you with wide, soft eyes showing he hoped he had not upset you. He bent down picked up your bag carefully brushed off every speck of dirt and held it out to you with both hands. He tapped his own chest then gestured toward you repeatedly making it obvious without words that he would carry anything you owned, walk beside you always, and protect you far better than any stranger ever could.
Asa Emory / The Collector
Asa watched from the rooftop nearby holding his binoculars and wearing a faint amused smile. He had spent weeks planning how to bring you into his life since you were the only thing interesting enough to keep forever. When he saw you sitting on a park bench listening to another man try to impress you he did not feel angry he just felt sorry for the fool.
He decided to handle it in his usual clever way. Within minutes the man found his shoelaces mysteriously tied together and his phone suddenly died. A low hanging branch just happened to lean down and tap him right on the head making him look foolish and confused. He quickly made an excuse and walked away feeling embarrassed.
Asa walked down to the path and appeared beside you smoothly, just enough to show his charming confident face and held out a small beautiful keychain shaped like a little house.
“That man only saw a few minutes with you.”
“I see forever. He cannot offer you security or a proper place to belong but I can.”
You looked at the keychain and asked what it opened. He smiled wider and tilted his head.
“It opens the door to your new life with me.”
“You are meant to be kept safe and cherished and that is exactly what I will do.”
Bo Sinclair
Bo leaned against the hood of his truck near the gas station in Ambrose keeping a close eye on you. He had wanted you from the first moment you arrived in town and seeing you standing near the museum while another man talked to you made his blood boil instantly. He wiped his hands on his jeans and marched over with his signature cocky grin already forming.
He stepped right between you and the stranger and rested his arm heavy and possessive across your shoulders like he had every right to do so.
“Evening there.”
“You must be lost. This person here is under my care and no one hangs around them without my say so.”
The other man frowned and crossed his arms.
“We were having a conversation.”
Bo leaned in closer his smile turning darker and more threatening.
“Conversations are fine but acting like you have a chance with them is not.”
“And trust me friend you do not want to find out how unwelcome strangers can become in this town.”
The man looked into Bo’s eyes and saw no bluff. He quickly mumbled an apology and rushed back to his car driving away much faster than he had arrived.
Bo turned back to you his expression softening just a little but keeping his arm firmly in place.
“Sorry about that sugar. Just makin' sure everyone knows you are taken. No one will ever treat you better or keep you safer than I will. You belong right here with me.”
