Inspiration
I'm inspired by how good of a job my colleagues did on the company's website. I'm going to do a complete rebuild on mine. Stay tuned!

Release Day
We just launched our new website at The Hackerati! Go see it and then pay us lots of money to engineer something for you.
Testing, testing... fuck you ie
I am testing my startups new website. Not surprisingly IE on windows XP is not doing well... I haven't seen the code base yet, but I thing it should be easily fixable. The website was built using Pantheon, which is a sort of web server as a service Drupal host. On the plus side, I think next weekend I'm going to build a test matrix web application. More on that later.
Hadoop
The startup I work for has an internal academy where we teach engineers whatever they want to know for free. Sort of a great way to distribute our collective knowledge to everyone. Anyway, I'm going to be teaching a Scala course, followed by a Hadoop course using Twitter Scalding. To teach Hadoop, however, I will have to learn Hadoop. Here goes. The next few posts will be about learning Hadoop, so if you don't care (and I can't see how you would), maybe tune out.
If you tune out, suck it.
