My favorite Viktor trope in fic is when the Hexclaw acts like is working based a little on his subconscious and betrays his facade, whats yours?

Oh god yesssssss!!! He even has a little emote in League where it taps his shoulders and does that “made you look” shit. I don’t quite go that far in my writing, as if it’s completely out of his control, but I kinda refer to it as like… a cat’s tail. Where it moves and swishes around and most of the time he’s not even aware he’s doing it. Definitely subconscious. And in that regard, it can give him away even when he seems stoic. Like… I imagine after their pseudo-reconciliation, Jayce is in his lab helping him with some project, and Jayce is excitedly pacing, and the Hexclaw follows him back and forth. I refer to it in POM as “like a charmed snake,” and I feel like that’s very fitting. It gives away how smitten and infatuated Viktor is with Jayce, even when his face seems completely emotionless.

Same deal with anxiety/nervousness. I imagine that the digits do a kind of spasmodic open-close tapping thing, kinda like we tap our fingers on surfaces.

OH GOD what if it cradles the back of his head/neck when he’s sleeping, cuz he subconsciously craves that security/tenderness?!?! Fuuuuuuuuck I gotta write this now.

Post reconciliation Jayce watching dumbstruck how the hexclaw tenderly pets Viktor's hair after he dozed off on his chair. It takes him a while to realize the hexclaw behave like a cat, but once he finally figures it out ooooh boy. He doesn't stop trying new ways to take advantage of it

Oh yes! And Jayce tries to run subtle little experiments, attempting to catalogue the Hexclaw’s actions and what they mean. He pinches Viktor’s arm to see what pain makes it do, actively tries to annoy him to see what that makes it do. His favorite is seeing all the different reactions he can get during spicy moments—how the ‘hand’ lazily spins when they kiss, how it grips and grabs at anything nearby when Viktor is… overwhelmed.

And V pretends he doesn’t know what Jayce is doing, but secretly he enjoys the attention, the way Jayce’s eyes light up when he’s successful.
