#I've fallen into a danmei rabbit hole#THIS IS SO GOOD!#the ANGST! the HORNINESS!#AH!#I'm currently reading 2ha (I am on chapter 120 out of 312)#and I would die for Chu Wanning and Mo Ran#although it seems to me that this genre is not for everyone#only seasoned fandom veterans and fanfic enthusiasts can stomach it#newbs would deem it Problematic#and I was there when the discourse movement broke loose#which doesn't mean that danmei is exempt of criticism of course#but my GOD is 2ha well written!#the IMPLICATION!#the FANTASY!#the WORLDBUILDING!#the CHARACTERS AND THEIR PSYCHOLOGY!#IMMACULATE!#it's so intricately woven and so deep and angsty and immoral I love it#and when I say immoral I am saying that the characters are immoral#anygay i love danmei and cnovels#i very much look forward to read Qi Ye and eldest princess female general one day#somehow xianxia novels have the same vibe as european fantasy#while wuxia resembles the few sagas I have read#it's fascinating!#also I love me some magical artefacts and sword lore
