Day 8

Both weapons of the Yiling Patriarch are held by two people that were previously important to him. Jiang Cheng has Suibian propped up in one of the rooms in Yunmeng (Wei Wuxians old lobby room that he hasn't dared touch due to the anger he feels against him) and Lan Wangji has Chenqing in his robes (Alongside a windwheel and a rattle drum in his sleeve). Both make sure that the weapons do not get damaged or dusty.

Jiang keeps Suibian because internally he misses how Wei Wuxian used to be, and Wangji keeps Chenqing because he misses how Wuxian was in general.

Fact 1 -

Jiang Cheng doesn't accept dogs in Lotus Pier, having kept that as a rule despite liking dogs himself (Only kept it in place because while Lan Wangji was mourning, Jiang Cheng was "waiting" for Wei Wuxian) the one exception is Jin Lings dog because it is a spiritual dog and comes in use. And just about never leaves Jin Lings side anyways

Connecting to Fact 1, Fairy is like dogs are and can see spirits and other beings that are not seen by the human eye, so she is able to both track out spiritual things and see them. It's quite clear to what may happen in around two to three chapters.

In Mo Xuanyus shack, in one corner hass a pile of flutes Nie Huaisang taught him to make, having been considered the Second Coming of the Yiling Patriarch, Nie Huaisang was determined to make sure he had the skills for such. Meaning flute making was often one of the activities (More made from bamboo than other material).
