This is the main account, run by two people, and home of "The Incomplete Array", an AU for Mo Dao Zu Shi! We welcome you on our journey of creating and posting content about this AU! This content will be presented in both comic and fanfic form.

Daily Fun Facts will be paused until Chapter 2 is out, due to the fact there's so much on some characters that could be used as fun facts but due to the lack of the show of said characters we can not post about them too much (Because it'll spoil important things)

We are working on the AU, and we want to keep giving content of The Incomplete Array to pique the interest of people in the Mo Dao community (Hence why we do want some interactions and activity on here)

As reminder, we are transferring the chapters from chunks of our roleplay, so it takes a while to do so due to needing to keep all the context and bunch them together! Do be patient, and if you want to know something of the AU feel free to ask and we will provide the best we can!

Day 20

The reason behind Mo Xuanyu stopping with the ritual when Jin Ling made his presence known is because he recognized him as his nephew, hence stopping and coming to the realization of what he was doing. Thoughts internally were a mess but he was aware enough of his actions that he can't do the ritual in front of his nephew. In his defense though? Mo Xuanyu expected nobody to interrupt.

Day 18-19

Apologies for slacking on the fun facts we're trying to get more things situated with the AU!

Fun Fact 1 -

Little Apple doesn't listen to Mo Xuanyu at all, but listens to others, which really makes the donkeys personality confusing because Little Apple was raised by Mo Xuanyu.

Fun Fact 2 -

Jin Guangyao fully expects Mo Xuanyu to be dead by now, by the time that Jin Ling is sent there it had been 4 weeks of not checking on Mo Xuanyu (To keep Mo off guard and expecting them to not check on him to make sure he's not trespassing or causing stuff that Lanling would be put at fault to (for still having slight responsibility)) therefore it's expected for the lunatic to be long dead and out of their way.

Day 16-17

Fact 1 -

Jiang Cheng doesn't accept dogs in Lotus Pier, having kept that as a rule despite liking dogs himself (Only kept it in place because while Lan Wangji was mourning, Jiang Cheng was "waiting" for Wei Wuxian) the one exception is Jin Lings dog because it is a spiritual dog and comes in use. And just about never leaves Jin Lings side anyways

Fact 2 -

Connecting to Fact 1, Fairy is like dogs are and can see spirits and other beings that are not seen by the human eye, so she is able to both track out spiritual things and see them. It's quite clear to what may happen in around two to three chapters.

Day 15

Jin Lings acceptance to help Mo Xuanyu in the first chapter of the story comes from the sense of familiarity he has towards Mo Xuanyu, therefore leads to pity on Mo Xuanyus state even though Mo is considered a lunatic. If he did leave Mo Xuanyu to die from blood loss there would be a lasting guilt on Jin Lings shoulders. He can't bare with that, even though Mo Xuanyu is a demonic cultivator and he dislikes those cultivators with a passion.

Day 14

Lan Wangji and Lan Xichens relationship as siblings have slowly became complicated over the years after Wei Wuxian death, Xichen having to constantly remind Wangji of what happened with their parent just so Wangji does not end up in the position they were in.

Meanwhile, Xichen relation with Jiang Cheng grows slightly, mainly (for Xichen) to voice concerns about Wangjis state

Day 13

In Mo Xuanyus shack, in one corner hass a pile of flutes Nie Huaisang taught him to make, having been considered the Second Coming of the Yiling Patriarch, Nie Huaisang was determined to make sure he had the skills for such. Meaning flute making was often one of the activities (More made from bamboo than other material).

Day 12

During planning with Mo Xuanyu, Nie Huaisang let out torn sheets of paper into the wind throughout the 13 years, every now and then there would be villagers or disciples who came across them, but due to how naive and dumb Huaisang had put in front to be the influenced true behaviour, they didn't focus much to it. Always thinking "He's a head-shaker, he wouldn't do any of this." And then the papers are thrown out or burned. People could have became aware of upcoming events but didn't because of the heavy doubt that was on Nie Huaisang.

Day 11

Mo Xuanyus golden core is still not fully developed, and never will be as it is left undone and just as a few gold threads (That is shown in art aswell as the icon). The darker shades around it is resentful energy, known to cocoon a golden core when something filled with resentment is agreed upon being connected. With the resentful energy, Demonic Cultivation is more easy to use despite the golden core being incomplete.

Day 10

Over the years, Jiang Cheng had grown more protective over Jin Ling, and not just because of him having started life with tough events such as losing both parents at 1 month, but because he doesn't want Jin Ling to witness a cruel reality. Having been one to tell Jin Ling the truth, and after all effects behind having learned the truth to Jin Zixuan and Jiang Yanli, he became more strict to what Jin Ling is to witness. Yes, Jin Ling is bound to see cruel reality at some point, but not so young.

Because of that, it's lead Jiang Cheng to be strict about Jin Ling seeing Mo Xuanyu, having made it obvious to Jin Guangyao that Jin Ling was not to check up on Mo Xuanyu, no matter what, because the lunacy could lead to bad things, as well as just the fact Mo Xuanyu is a demonic cultivator.

It will be specified more with oncoming chapters about Jiang Cheng feelings about what had happened with Jin Ling and how he reacts to knowing Jin Guangyao didn't protect Jin Ling from the sights of sacrifice, or at least sent someone to accompany Jin Ling.

Day 9

Jin Ling, along with the protective talisman in his sleeve from his Shushu, also has headpieces that came from them, wears them occasionally but gets fussed at by Guangyao about wearing them, therefore they are now currently collecting dust in his lobby in Lanling, just propped up somewhere neatly.

Day 8

Both weapons of the Yiling Patriarch are held by two people that were previously important to him. Jiang Cheng has Suibian propped up in one of the rooms in Yunmeng (Wei Wuxians old lobby room that he hasn't dared touch due to the anger he feels against him) and Lan Wangji has Chenqing in his robes (Alongside a windwheel and a rattle drum in his sleeve). Both make sure that the weapons do not get damaged or dusty.

Jiang keeps Suibian because internally he misses how Wei Wuxian used to be, and Wangji keeps Chenqing because he misses how Wuxian was in general.

Day 7

While mourning Wei Wuxians death, Lan Wangji had played the Guqin consistently (Mostly playing Wangxian) to find parts of Wuxians soul (Which didn't even happen) for 4 years. After those years, Xichen started noticing how Wangjis skin from his fingers was more sensitive and weaker against things and often were found being bloody while handling the guqin. Due to such, Wangji was directed to stop playing the guqin for the next few months to years (Which is when Wangji was mostly falling to being delusional and was put to seclusion every now and then).

The time after the 13 years when Mo Xuanyu goes along with the sacrifice, Wangji is able to play the Guqin, but his fingers are permanently looking damaged and scarred, while the skin is still thin and weak (So he can't play the Guqin as much but does it regardless because it's one of his weapons).

Day 6

Nie Huaisang addresses Mo Xuanyu as "Wei-Xiong" aswell as other titles Wei Wuxian had 13 years ago. His reasoning is just to fit Mo more into being like the second coming of the Yiling Patriarch. Unfortunately due to the ritual going wrong he does slow down with saying it due to reasonings that will be more in detail in Chapter 2

Day 5

- Jin Ling knows how to use talisman and draw them, reason behind it will be specified eventually, but he knows how to make protection talisman and others (May even know one or two that can lead to being a threat). Unfortunately he never used it around other cultivators, aswell as doesn't remember where he learned it, but has notes from his "Shushu" that he keeps in an old lobby that Guangyao keeps people from staying in, those papers holding information of each talisman aswell as unique brushes that work best for making them.

As insisted into adding(So just 2 connected fun facts), Jin Ling has a protection talisman in his left sleeve thats been active for 7-8 years, does he know who it came from? Not exactly, only going by "Shushu" but he knows well that he promised never to remove it from his sleeve (Whether it runs out of energy and stops working or not)
