the java hut → open
Daxton inconspicuously made his way to his favorite spot in the back of the java hut, laptop in hand. He liked this spot mostly because it was one of the closest tables to an outlet but also because it was tucked far enough away that someone wasn’t likely to come up and start a conversation while he worked. Daxton had decided to get out of the house for awhile and away from Travis and his blaring ‘get pumped’ playlist. Booting up his shiny laptop, he rubbed his face with a sigh. Editing pictures sometimes really sucked. He hated the tedious photoshop work that family pictures required. Last week he shot this huge family for six hours. Your stereotypical suburban group, older mother clinging to her youth and successful father, surrounded by their beaming little offspring. It was quite the day, the two youngest twins had trouble keeping still and Dad kept getting calls that he just had to take much to Mom’s dismay. In the end though, Daxton thought he had gotten a few really nice shots until he realized that there was some sort of stain on one of the son’s pant leg that ruined every one of them. It was an easy enough fix but that on top of having to swap faces so that everyone was smiling, brighten eyes, make the white balance just right, it was a lot and he became quite the perfectionist when it came to his photography. Daxton also didn’t like to disappoint his clientele whom he charged ridiculous amounts just because he knew they could afford it.
While he waited for photoshop to open up the huge files, Daxton looked around the hip coffee shop. He loved working in this place because it felt comfortable like home unlike all those new modern places with bright colors and horrible fluorescent lighting. The Java Hut was normally crawling with the youth of Savannah but today seemed to be a little quieter which was nice. The photos opened and Daxton put on his glasses he wore when he was going to be using the computer for a prolonged period of time and set to work perfecting the already perfect facade of one of Savannah's many families.
REboot fandom?
Hey Bootniks, jameson9101322 here.
Is there anyone on tumblr left from the old Java hut? Back in the early 2000s when season 4 was airing and we were all chums? I miss it. Curious if there was anyone left out there still floating around
(I think it's time for a reboot fanart dump because the reboot tag isn't reboot at all)
