PSYCHONAUTS - FANDANGONAUTS
A Psychonauts/Grim Fandango crossover I've been cooking for YEARS. It was going to be a comic but I don't have time for a comic. I have been drafting on it, inspired largely by my Hornblower fic wherein I added a lot of my Psychonautsized GF characters. Its essentially the plot of Grim Fandango retold in the Psychonauts universe starring Manny with a big slice of Full Throttle on the side.
BEETLEJUICE the MUSICAL - FAMILY PLOT 2
A sequel fancomic to my fancomic, it would be called FAMILY REUNION and be about MovieJuice returning to the Maitland house to ruin Thanksgiving. We also get to meet MusicalBeej's grandfather and have another near-excorism experience. Its not off the table entirely but I don't have time for another comic rn. Maybe when I have this episode of B6 done.
BABYLON 5 - BEYOND THE RIM WARFIC
Another tropedump of my favorite bits. The Army of Light takes a mission in which they need to infiltrate a warzone with Londo and G'Kar separated on either side of the conflict. Drama happens when Londo gets caught in a violent ambush and it's all G'Kar can do to not hover over his sickbed while desperately trying to finish the mission so they can go home where Londo's life can be saved. I have a hurt/comfort plot for literally every franchise I love and this is... one of B5's
MEN IN BLACK/ SHIN MEGAMI TENSEI crossover
Specifically it's an MIB: the Animated Series and SMT: Digital Devil Saga Avatar Tuner crossover, which makes it officially the most niche thing ever made by human hands. The Men in Black, led by Alpha, are a tribe in the wasteland when the events of DDS begin. They move about in the shadows throughout the plot of the game, affecting the events in secret but significant ways, and trying not to eat each other.
DISCWORLD - VIMES SICKFIC
One of this franchise's h/c stories... not to be confused with the half-finished Twoflower h/c story currently sitting on my ao3. Vimes is targeted for assassination by a mysterious villain and nearly killed. After a little harrowing hunchback surgery and a good deal of worrying by the rest of the watch, he's revived but now has to lay low for his sake and the sake of the case because now that the bad guys think he's dead, they are letting their guard down. Unfortunately no one thought to warn Sybil about her husband's survival... because the clacks DEFINITELY told her about his death.
Okay that's probably enough of that. 3 of the 5 I posted involve at least one fretful bedside scene and 2 of those 3 involve nail-biting surgical stakes so yeah, she has a trope. That repetition is largely the reason I haven't tackled these past a zero draft, but they are sitting in my folder waiting for me to get neck-deep into their franchises and forget my own shame.
