Victims Tumblr Survey (Part 3- The Killers Live)
Part 1 Part 2
Welcome back everyone as we dive into the stats on something we are all missing right now: live music, and more specifically The Killers live
How many times have you seen The Killers live?
The average amount of times was 2.7. There’s not much to say about this data but if you’ve not seen them live yet I hope your time will come. Predictions for next year: this won’t have changed much apart from new people giving their answers.
How has this changed since 2019?
This is really showing we have new people here (which is a good thing!) because otherwise we’d expect the 0 column to stay the same or decrease. However, above 1 times there are increases in how many people have seen them 2-5 times.
Favourite Tour?
As the era increases so do the amount of people saying it’;s their favourite. IS it recency bias? Bias of when people found the band? Or is it that they’re getting better as time goes on? Honestly, likely a combination of all of them but no one can deny they are getting better as a live band as time goes on, and clearly people are preferring this now.
How has this changed since 2019?
A decrease in WW and a increase in all the overs. This is suggesting to me that the recency bias is not too strong here with the decrease in WW. I hope my thoughts are making sense to you all, my science head is currently on but it is also 11pm. Last years stats still show as the years go on more people prefer their tour, can’t wait to see ITM out on top in 2 years time!
Best tour performance wise?
Same % of people saying WW here. The only big difference between favourite tour and best tour is the reduction in HF. It’s clear to see that Brandon is a far more confident performer today and its making the performances far better, only a fool would argue otherwise. Again, I look forward to ITM being here in 2 years time!
How does this compare to 2019?
Same pattern as best tour. Same discussion points apply as before.
Favourite singular show?
There was 37 singular shows this year, with it appearing less people are just saying their own show which, honestly, makes for far more interesting stats. So I present to you what is basically a list of shows to watch on YouTube.
Turns out having it as a live dvd really helps it be your favourite, who’d have thought. But HELLO GLAST-ON-BERRY (seriously man, you’ve played it 5 times learn to pronounce it). It was a great show though wasn’t it. Probably a career highlight and it is showing here!
How does this compare to 2019?
30 shows were given last year and here they are
Funnily enough no Glastonbury 2019, but RAH still maintains the top spot but has a higher percentage in 2020. I have just realised I forgot to change the decimals to only 2 places. I’m sorry. Enjoy looking at those horrible numbers.
Most Soul destroying performance?
Nearly half of you said some version of dustland, with the lolla Brazil one coming out on top. Just analysing all the dustland data made me :sadbrandon:. So, if you want to sit and watch The Killers and cry, here is your list!
How does this compare to 2019?
46% of you last year also said some form of Dustland, the lolla brazil one only has a change of -1%. It truly is a hard one to watch. Shoutout to Starlight being mentioned both years for being bad.
Song you most want to hear live?
Here is the top 10. 2020 said River rights! Also those people who said Caution, I get you, one day. AN interesting mix of staples and more rarities here. Brb sending this to Brandon. There was 48 songs mentioned, the full list can be found here
How does this compare to 2019?
Obviously no Caution. If you had said Caution last year I would have been very creeped out. And it would appear some of you have heard ATTTID and Dustland live, congrats! You better have cried, it’s a life changing moment. Everyone still wants to see Sweet Talk live aka how Brandon loses his voice. You better all take your turn with the Sweet Talk to protect Brandons voice.
Are you going to the UK/Europe tour?
This is the overall graph and I am giving it you for completness sake, but then it occured to me this is pretty useless data. A high percentage of you are in the US so of course its unlikely you are going to the UK/Europe shows (Unless you’re Andy, Hi Andy!)
So here’s the Europe only data:
which is far more interesting let’s be honest. And then it occured to me that the tour is mainly in the UK so I thought I’d do it for the UK only (small sample size though so take this with a tablespoon of salt):
UK’Europe ticket retention:
This was where people’s reading comprehension failed them and I’m very glad I checked every single answer thoroughly. There does seem to be some people that are now buying tickets now tour is rescheduled but what I am interested in here is ticket retention.
See you all there (there means London or Norwich)!
N/S. America, Australia tour?
And I did the same thing and split it into continents to give more meaningful data:
Enjoy your nice ticket sales at some point boys!
Tour retention
Few more unsure people which makes sense. Tickets aren’t on sale yet, we’re in a pandemic, no one will know when it will happen blah blah blah. Still most of you plan on seeing them!
And that concludes the live stats! Drag each other as usual in the tags/replies (don’t reblog it with a comment though for the love of god)
Come back tomorrow for part 3: members solo work where we discover together that most have only listened to Brandon's!
