wait stop there are people who don’t like ragnarok??? full stop??? i’m not in the know what’s happening

it’s not really about them not liking ragnarok, had it been that i don’t think anyone would be too pressed about it. like i dislike a lot of the movies and shows tumblr at large nuts over. it’s not about not being happy about some aspect of a movie and moving on with your life, oh no. 

it’s the fact that for the past two years they have been making up shit and launching some bizzarre ‘smear campaign’ against taika waititi (they also hate chris hemsworth but that part has been going on since 2011 fhweufhueir i still get flashbacks to those elaborate posts trying to prove that his wife cheats on him); we’ve seen racial slurs and just general racist ass ‘discourse’ how taika’s jealous of tom hiddleston’s superior intellect (lmao), them making a miriad of posts on how they wish taika would meet real loki and ‘cower in fear’, how taika must have self hatred as a man of colour, which is why he ‘disrespected loki like that’, how he (a maori jewish man) ‘does not understand colonialism’, a mile long post how taika’s mentally ill, armchair diagnosing him with various disorders ‘that have lead him to make thor ragnarok’, long ass posts how chris hemsworth and taika waititi are just so jealous of loki’s success and how they bullied tom hiddleston (it’s me!! i’m the only tom hiddleston bully around here! taika flew me to oz especially for that).

i have seen (and blocked) it all!

The only time Loki has been likeable was in Ragnarok. In Thor 2011, he flips out and decides that an entire planet should pay for his daddy issues. In Avengers, he goes full on evil overlord with lines like "an ant has no quarrel with a boot". In TDW, he never shows remorse for his failed takeover of Earth, proceeds to be a humongous dick any chance he gets and fakes his own death to take over Asgard. I can't see why anyone would like that Loki better, unless they are into edgy white dudes.

in all honesty, i think there’s much more to loki’s motivations than daddy issues alone but that last bit of your message basically covers it 😂 all ragnarok did was separate the straights from the gays among loki stans, we all know that the ‘sensitive intellectual’ loki,  ‘poor, bullied’ woki and ‘ sexy prince of darkness’ loki *shudder* are het inventions.
