Good Things #1 (aka Good Things Thursday)
1. The scent of rain before a night-long storm comes.
2. Listening to a Ludovico Einaudi piece that takes you into another world of thoughts full of swirling colours and textures.
3. A post-it note left for you by someone else with scrawled writing that you can barely read.
4. Eating a bar of your favourite chocolate at the end of the quiet night and washing it down with a bitter coffee. Especially when the flavours balance each other out.
5. The aesthetic of dried wheat/flowers in tall glass vases and sprigs of baby’s breath.
6. An inbox at zero.
7. Picking up an old hobby from when you were younger and thinking to yourself, “I remember this. I recognise this.”
8. Hanging out a fresh load of washing and lingering outside to watch the sky and feel the sun on your face. You have enough pegs and feel accomplished when the task is over.
9. Sliding into warm sheets at night and tucking your leg over a pillow, as you fall asleep to the sound of crackling firewood and thunder.
10. Candles that smell of forest air or sugar cookies, burning on your desk as you work into the night.
