I was thinking about my design for my oc Dyami and how he needs a little something extra, and then it hit me. Animal skin cloaks/hats. I already named most of the characters from his tribe after different animals (Dyami means eagle i believe) so I thought it was really fitting, plus it added amazing shape language to all the designs.
basically everyone gets an animal hat of their very first animal they hunt, usually a rabbit, lamb, raccoon or raven (all representing different skills or attributes of their personality) and along with the hat they get a generic name to go with it. Then once they reach 13 they go and they hunt a bigger more important animal and have a ritual that signifies the start of their adulthood. They also get a permanent animal skin cloak and name that is personalized to fit them specifically.
This is Dyami and his siblings (I haven’t gotten around to naming them since I have to do a bit of research). He has a lot of siblings cause that’s just how things often work in their tribe especially because their father is the chief.
