I wanna talk about a character

Stanly ipkiss from the mask.

More specificilally stanly ipkiss from the comics.

The comic version of stanly is nothing like his movie counterpart. Infact they couldnt be any morw opposite. Unliks the movie version where stanly is loveable, cartoon loving, in love character. Stanlu in the comics is an angry bitter frustrated man who spend his time at his job fantasiing about "getting rid" of the people he hates the most. To put it more bluntly. He dreams about killibg the people who he thinks wronged him in his life.

In the movie stanly wears the mask to help him win the heary of cameron diaz, but in the comics stanly alreadu has a girlfriend and he's sick of her as well. Stanly in the comics wears the mask to fullfill his darkeat fantasies,

KILLING EVERYONE WHO TREATED HIM BAD

at the end stanly is killed by his girlfriend and the mask is in her possesion

The Mask (1994). Bank clerk Stanley Ipkiss is transformed into a manic superhero when he wears a mysterious mask.

This was a fun one to revisit, having not seen it since I was a kid, and it holds up surprisingly well. It's a genuinely bonkers, chaotic, high energy comedy, but it also works as an action set piece and has some genuinely pretty good moments of romance and drama. Jim Carrey is firing on all cylinders - there truly isn't another actor I could imagine in this role - and it's nuts that this is Cameron Diaz's first film! She eats! 7/10.
