Remade an old OC and made a couple "friends" for her

Meet... The Maybe! (Aka Theatta Mayberry)

Maybe is an intersex 26-year-old who enjoys creating things and baking. She uses he/she pronouns, and is bisexual! She owns a baking show known as "Maybe This Show Will Air". Like her name suggests, she's constantly confused about... Everything! She has a neutral viewpoint on everything, except for her rival, Certino, and her significant other, Perchancette.

Fun fact! She's a hybrid rat-rabbit gremlin! She shows signs of both female and male gremlin traits (colored cheeks and whiskers for males, fur/hair and freckles for females)

And her partner... The Perchancette! (Aka Coconut Perchancette)

Perchancette, like Maybe, is also intersex, however they use he/they pronouns. He was born blind, so he wears a blindfold, as he's extremely sensitive to light. He's also a rat-gremlin hybrid, but he wasn't born with any tails! A rarity for gremlins. They're 30 years old, and asexual! They're unemployed, unfortunately.

And finally... Certino Slepetti!

Certino is Maybe's rival, at least to him. He's a 34-year-old celebrity chef that barely gets any sleep. He's anomalously able to predict anything, and gained his fame by using that power for Italian cuisine! He loves to harass Maybe, because he thinks it's funny.

Enjoyed listening to this. I do have a mixed opinion on that protocols-over-platform point of view but there's a ot of stuff in here to wrap head around for a bit. Specifically, that kind of looking back at the early internet, at how things transformed from a per-se decentralized, fragmented environment to a set of services that were actually fun to use and made technology accessible to a whole wider load of human beings before eventually turning into shady, despicable structures one should rather avoid. Specifically, too, that looking back at how a certain group of people nowadays tends to ignore that part of the story and opts to limit things to the negative aspects that came along later. Specifically, too, that ATProto / Bluesky approach of trying to learn from both - decentralization as a crucial aspect for being in power, in control, and usability, accessibility for less tech-savvy people being an undisputable requirement to make technology that serves a particular purpose. Worth checking out.

There's little physical evidence of the script process to show you. No notes. Nothing. I think, and think, and think... and by the time I come to write, a lot has been decided. Also, a lot hasn't been decided, but I trust myself, and scare myself, that it'll happen in the actual writing. It all exists in my head, but in this soup. It's like the ideas are fluctuating in this great big quantum state of Maybe. The choices look easy when recounted later, but that's hindsight. When nothing is real and nothing is fixed, it can go anywhere. The Maybe is a hell of a place to live. As well as being the best place in the world.
