Louis and band. They are brilliant!

Also a little side note: Remember the ominous unidentified mic that 1D spoke into during 1D days and we never knew who they talked to because it was during their songs and never went over the speakers?

Louis has one too. It was slightly to the right hand side at Steve’s drum set, facing to the crowd. When the lights went off Louis would go there and speak into it.

I only noticed it when the band started LBD because Louis seemed a bit surprised, laughing and wildly gesturing to the band as if to say “Oiii, I wanted to say something” and the band kept playing the intro and looking at Louis for instructions, that’s when Louis walked to this mic I hadn’t noticed before, literally with his back to the crowd facing Steve, and spoke into it for a bit, and they just proceeded into the song. I’m not even sure many people noticed.

However after that I saw Louis speaking into the mic regularly but only when the lights were off. So it’s save to say it’s a way to communicate to the band/FOH people to check in without interrupting the experience for the audience.
