BIG PROGRESS UPDATE!

I wanted to share some pics of how it's all been going down!

I started with assembling all the boxes. We had 215 orders in total, and about 200 of those were physical zines! Then I packed all the dog tags that I had at the time (100), and wrote little thank you notes to put in. After that, it was trimming and separating all the bookmarks and trading cards... a HEFTY effort! (I gave myself blisters powering through all that! T_T ) I bought some shiny origami paper (as gay as I could find! XD) and wrapped each dog tag to give some extra padding, so they wouldn't scratch the books and merch. (I hope it's enough, given the postal systems and their tendency to toss stuff around!) Then all the trading cards were sorted into their own little baggies, and all the merch was placed in the boxes to wait for the arrival of the books and the last set of tags (another 100). Finally, the books arrived! AND HOLY CRAP THEY ARE HEAVY!!!! (Each book is almost 1kg, so I was hefting around 200kg to bring them all into the house.) The books are BEAUTIFUL and LARGE! (hand and arm for scale). XD JUST TODAY (2025/11/27) I managed to mail the first 75 orders! It took from 10am - 4:30pm to get them all carted to the post office, 10 at a time, on my bike, and then fill out and print and sign all the forms. (Japan Post is a massive pain in the ass regarding forms.) However, it was worth it, as we are WAY ahead of schedule, and there were NO problems with mailing anything to any countries (except for Russia, so I will need have a volunteer to mail those books from a country where they are allowed to send mail there. Japan won't even let me mail my kyluxmas cards there T_T)! <3 It is expected to take 3-4 weeks to arrive to you, though they may not arrive until January due to all the various holidays. The only bad news is that I severely underestimated the cost for the post to the US, which ended up being $5-7 more PER BOOK than I was expecting. Seeing as over half the orders are to the US, that's around an extra $700. T_T I should still have enough to cover it, but it means there may not be much, if anything, left over to give to charity as we'd planned. The PDF only version is still available, at just $10 USD, and if anyone could spread the word, a few more sales of those could help soften the postage blow. <3 (PDFs can still be paid for at www.ko-fi/darthastris ) Of course, everyone who ordered a physical zine will receive one free PDF once I've mailed out all the physical copies, so if you've ordered already you don't need to buy that separately. I'm hoping to finish it up this weekend (or next, if I have too much work in between carting these all out to the post office 10 at a time. I may not get to go to the gym, but I'll be RIPPED after sending out all these books! XD) THANK YOU, once again, everyone for helping me to make this dream project come true! <3 <3 <3 It's HARD work, but I'm not complaining at all. It's been a real pleasure to dial my autism up to 100 and get this wonderful project finished and into your waiting hands! <3 For those of you on the waiting list, there may be several zines extra at the end of all this, but I need to make sure all the pre-orders get sorted first.
