I have no idea as to what I just wrote down or exactly how this AU(?????) would work out, but it goes something like this:
Aperture is in ruins. You have no idea how it happened, and how you even got stuck here in the first place, but the objective is clear: you need to survive long enough to figure out how to escape. And while you're at it, you are also going on an Easter egg hunt of sort that will provide you with useful companions...
Not only the "Pokècores" are strewn about all over the facility, they are also lot smaller than regular cores so they're quite tricky to spot.
Nevertheless, you decide that it's now your quest to collect as many of them as possible.
Each different "Pokècores" contain different human/cyborg/android/whatever cores in them. Some are commonly found, others are found in more obscure places.
Since each human!cores have different skillsets(e.g. Virgil can repair things and Rick can be a good choice when brawn is needed over brain), collecting different kinds of Pokècores would increase your chance at surviving whatever Aperture is throwing at you.
Perhaps you can even make an 'entry' of sort with the pokècores you collected?

Stray thoughts
1) So we are finally addressing how little sense it makes for Jane to remain a virgin. FINALLY. The flashback to her telling Michael she was a virgin and waiting till getting married was a nice touch, although it would’ve been nice for them to show Rafael’s reaction as well. If there’s a parallel gifset of these reactions, please direct me to it! Anyway, Jane is at least open to the idea of having sex. But I have a feeling that flower will continue to remain intact for a while.
2) I will say it again, okay? Zany, self-involved Rogelio and impetuous, hotheaded Xiomara are the most mature people in this show. I mean, the way they just sit down and openly communicate their thoughts and feelings regarding their relationship and their wants? Bravo! Writers who believe healthy, adult relationships don’t make for interesting storytelling should take note (*coughs* robfuckingthomas *coughs*) They don’t have it all figured out, but they’re being honest and they’re working on getting there, and that’s compelling enough.
Also, they just referred to Rogelio’s religion as Scientology and I commend them for calling a spade a spade. And I’m with Narrator here, can they please disclose the contents of those discs? I really hope they will!
3) Well, I’m not really keeping track, but it might be the first time that I agree with Rafael 100%. I think it’s a great idea for Jane to walk Petra through the ins and outs of motherhood.
4) YES! Jane is throwing a baby shower for Petra, and I’m so in!
5) “I’m not suited for marriage” If I were Jane, would’ve dug a little deeper. What does that exactly mean? And hey, listen, I’m all for Jane getting it on, but I just feel that after all this time waiting, it would be kind of a letdown to have sex for the first time with this rando character.
6) She’s going to change her mind, isn’t she? She’s talking about “getting it over with” and “ripping off the bandaid” and “not making it a huge thing”, but… that’s not her? It’s one thing to say that you don’t want to wait till you’re married, but that doesn’t mean that your first time shouldn’t be meaningful and with someone who is somehow important to you, if that’s what you believe in, which seems to be Jane’s case.
7) Oooh! YES! Rogelio’s Scientology Discs! Let’s hear the goss!
IS THAT IT?! I’m disappointed!

9) Well, the bonding is not really going that well…
They have very different opinions about motherhood and what’s best for their kids, and Petra seemed to be especially miffed at Jane referring to her and Rafael as “we.”
10) OMG what is this show and why do I want to watch it so badly?
11) I mean, seriously, every writer should take note of how Xiomara and Rogelio are written? He wants kids and she doesn’t, but they are sure they want to be together and they don’t know if they will change their minds, so Rogelio suggests Xiomara should have her eggs frozen, in case she does change her mind somewhere along the road. Ugh, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for the writers not to ruin them because, seriously, I really love how they are portrayed?
12) YEP. She’s changing her mind.
Why else would she bring up the fact that she’s a virgin if it’s not a big deal, right? At least the professor is smart enough to get that.
13) Why aren’t Alba and Jane more supportive of Xiomara’s decision to get her eggs frozen…? What’s wrong with that?
14) I can’t blame Rafael for not accepting The Moron’s apology. To be quite frank, I’m done with this character and I kind of want her gone. I hope she dies or someone kills her or something. She’s boring, idiotic, and adds nothing to the plot.
15) Can you really blame Petra?
PETRA: Oh, we kissed. Did he mention that?
JANE: No, he didn't.
PETRA: Well, we did.
JANE: Wait, is that what this is about? Do you think that I want to be with him?
PETRA: Well, do you?
JANEE: No, I don't.
PETRA: Does he know that?
JANE: Of course.
16) Ugh, I really thought we were back to they will-they-won’t-they between Rafael and Jane, but it seems she has – momentarily – put a stop to any ideations that there’s a future between them. Thank you. You’ve saved me quite a lot of eye-rolling.
17) Why do I fear that Xiomara is going to realize she truly doesn’t want kids and is going to break up with Rogelio?
18) I really liked the conversation between Jane and Petra, though. Both of them were very honest, and I think Jane’s honesty was precisely what Petra needed because Jane was basically telling her “we need to get along because we’re family now” and I think Petra really wants and needs that. Now they can move forward being honest with each other, and I’m really looking forward to that.
19) Okay, Narrator, stop teasing me, why didn’t the sting happen? What kind of shit did pull Rose to overpower Michael? Who does she kidnap this time?
20) Oh, are my wishes coming true?!
21) So… Jane started sexting with the naughty professor and as she was driving there sans pants… this happened…
Hm. We are back at this. I guess that was the point of the flashback at the beginning.

23) This show knows how to get meta, I’ll give you that.
Telenovelas need heart. But they also need a big, fun action sequence. That's why we're putting Susan B. Anthony in a freak riding accident. Plus, it's an old trick. A woman in distress really brings everyone together at the end of an episode.
But seriously, though, The Moron is no freaking Susan B. Anthony, how dare they?
24) The reunion no one was waiting for…
This is a dream sequence, isn’t it?
25) Oh, shit. This was all a setup!
26) How did Rose manage to have a contingency plan? Did she really have “associates” at Susanna’s house waiting for her to give them the order to kill her little brother? And who is dying?!
27) Okay, I did not see that coming.
But why do I have the feeling this might not be the last we see of Rose? I mean, she did work in the face-swapping industry, so this might not be her at all, and that’s why she was so easily dispensable. Maybe she sent a stand-in to see if The Moron could really be trusted, and now that she’s proven she’s not, well, she’s coming after her. I can only wish. I seriously don’t understand how The Moron has survived yet another episode.
28) PLOT TWIST!
I mean, I think this is something Alba should’ve shared with Jane way before now, but I appreciate the honesty and the sincere promise not to judge her. I think it speaks very highly of her that she’ll always put first her relationship with her granddaughter and how important it is for her to feel a part of her life, regardless of the decisions Jane makes.
29) Oh shit. Xiomara is breaking up with Rogelio. Why didn’t he show her the whole tape?!
I mean, COME ON! WAY TO TWIST THE KNIFE!
30) Lola will be back, won’t she?
31) Okay, I’m not sure how I feel about this…
But I have to admit I didn’t roll my eyes, and it really did feel sweet, almost earned. Although I wish she hadn’t been entangled with both her professor and Rafael in the same episode. I get what they tried to do – she’s presented with three different choices here and Michael is the one that she chooses without any hesitation whatsoever. However, I think the message would’ve been conveyed much more neatly if she hadn’t been going back and forth between Rafael and Michael literally for a season and a half. It doesn’t feel as OTP as I think the writers were going for precisely because she literally was in love with one of them every other episode, and that takes away from the “they belong together” feeling this scene was supposed to create. It’s more like they belong together… for a few episodes, then we’ll see. But I might be wrong and the writers might finally break this ridiculous love triangle, at least for longer than a couple of episodes. I can only hope.

And what’s bothering me is that it doesn’t look like Matt’s behaviour is ever actually going to be addressed. Say what you will about Danny Rand, but he’s called out on his shit all the time. By everyone. Ridiculed and mistreated. Matt, on the other hand, goes about his life celebrated and treasured whatever he does. He all but abandoned the Castle case and didn’t even visit Foggy at the hospital when he was shot at, but now he’s family again to him. He pretty much cheated on Karen but she’s saying he deserves better than herself now. At most, he puts on a sad puppy face for half an hour and all’s forgotten. I don’t want my girl around this person, but they’re cb canon and I’m afraid they’re going to be show canon without any of his faults ever being dealt with. I’m afraid she’s just gonna take him back like nothing happened.
