Sonictober day 27 - Poison rip the goat
You wake up, feeling a weird sensation all over your skin. It takes a few heartbeats to recognise the surrounding golden-brown wheat ears around you. Lifting your head, you see long rows of mighty pine trees, reaching deep into the forest. The color looks painfully familiar, and you can almost feel these fragments of lost memories at your fingertips, but you lack the strength (or, perhaps, the courage) to catch it. The clear but soft blue sky, for the first time in years, does not evoke a sense of imminent danger. It seems you don't have to fight anymore. Instead, you watch in awe as this mighty but still soft sky seems to fall on the pine tree crowns of the pine forest, touching them, promising comfort.
So you stand there, peacefully observing, until the vision becomes blurry. The first tear gently drops to the ground.
...
Rhythm of the uncertain steps was overtaken by an unwavering determination, shining in the green eyes. There was no way one could know the direction they were going, but, on the other hand, it seemed the direction didn't matter. The man, blessed by the Sun God, wasn't even looking ahead this much, turning his head towards his raven-winged angel, as if giving silent reassurance that now is what matters, that the journey that awaits them is theirs. And the angel trusts him, allowing himself to focus on the rhythm his heart is beating: Alive, feeling, loving.
Another few ninah drawings I did recently, cause I’m obsessed with that game
Reading a book i'm thoroughly immersed in, and suddenly life feels good again.
