Mmmmmmmmmmmmmhmmmmmhmmhhm
oh man oh man okay so like. sorry im going to be annoying for a second BUT. w this newest chapter mikey n i were talking about the contast between uab and san diegos playstyle. idk much about real football, but it seems that theyre like, opposite ends of the "super aggressive" playstyle, with uab parading and steamrolling and nick and manny scouting out targets and, like, fucking hunting. the difference of course being how hyper visible uab is compared to san diego - which, between the distraction at georgia tech and the fact that no one even knows san diego is really, genuinely playing, theyre like, invisible
thats what struck me abt the chapter. why are we hearing this? why do we need to know this? what does it mean for the Bigger Plot? and . i mean idk jon bois has a habit of surprising me no matter what he does but i do have an idea
nick and manny need to make it back to san diego field. nick has much less time, and its been noted that they also have to contend with the physical weight of the footballs. uab has hidden their footballs in a lonely lighthouse in a lake, inaccessible enough that no one would look, and far enough that it keeps their score hidden.
nick and manny dont have a lake. but they DO have a desert.
fjord, looking at kiri perfectly mimic voices and not speak in a voice of her own: ha ha :)
