Apartment | Hamish Duke
“I own the whole building.” Hamish confessed to his pack. Admittedly, it was good to have them back, and not have his mind thrown into a coven’s magical blender. He was no magician, he was the eldest and wisest of the current Knights of St Christopher. No one could take their purpose away from them, not even Vera if she gave her all.
But there was one person who could interrupt this newfound moment of hope. Whom could ruin their plans to get revenge against the Order if she pleased, although it was a heavy doubt that she would even dare to think such a thing.
And she slunk into the room, making the rest of his pack stand on guard. But in their territorial behaviour, he was not with them, even if he hadn’t seen her since the Order had messed with his mind and altered his behaviour and attention.
She still looked the same, but her scent was missing a hint of Hamish. Her expression was stone as she moved closer, Lilith looked ready to attack this newcomer if the odds came to it. To stop her from doing so, Hamish put his arm out, and took a comfortable step toward the woman.
As he did so, she struck his face with her palm. He made no effort to lash out in return, but he could hear her growling a little, and see that her cheeks had blossomed red with anger.
“I deserved that.” He noted, nodding along and bringing his own hand upwards so that he could cup the stinging part of her face. In the end, not all of the blame was on him, but admittedly a portion was.
Responding, she kicked him in the knee, causing the tall blonde to bow down to her. “And that.” He wheezed, trying to respect the dominance that her wolf held over his own.
“Where have you been?” She squinted harshly, allowing her gaze to momentarily slip to the three onlookers who had waited back on Hamish’s command. “I swear to god, if you say the Den I will burn that building down.”
At that threat, Hamish’s irises sparked to their silver white, and he lifted himself so that he returned to being taller than the lady. “I’m surprised your not going to huff and blow it down.” He remarked, causing her to snarl.
“What in The Knights’ names have you been doing? The Order have been looking for me too, do you have any fucking idea how difficult it is to run and hide from those, those - “ She grasped her hands, acting as though she was strangling someone, which she had a definite urge to do. “Urgh.”
She turned away, and so Lilith took this as her moment to step up and question Hamish. Even if you had vigilantly hurt the TA, she was no enemy, otherwise Hamish would have already ripped her throat out for intrusion. “Who the fuck are you?”
The blonde, well the natural one, had never heard about a woman from him, except the one who had met a tragic end. So this was new territory, in the sense of the woman and the actual environment.
At the girl’s query, the woman laughed, crossing her arms tightly and throwing her head back. Of course they didn’t know, even if they were the knights, or the ones allowing the hides to parade around in their skins, they still had more to be educated on if they were to be as worthy as all those before them.
“Tell them Hamish, they’re dying to know. Especially that one.” Her nail aimed itself at Jack, he was clearly quite curious, she could smell it running off of him.
Sighing, Hamish decided to comply with her commands other than try to outrank her. He wanted to, but there were other, more simpler ways in which he could perform that, but privacy would be best suited for that.
“This is Spellman, the hide that is the chancellor of our knit.” Looking at her, she allowed him to keep going, if he needed to bite his tongue, she’d surely help him with that. “Otherwise known as (Y/N), she skirts the area, keeping any imposters out of our woods and much more. She speaks to the Chancellors of other Knights, and they arrange territory division, and how we can stop the use of magic.”
“She hasn’t been doing the greatest job on the last part, I can tell you that.” Randall made the comment, unknowingly conscious to the fact that he would regret it, or at least eventually would.
“Greybeard.” (Y/N) spoke, her voice clear and calm. She knew exactly what she was doing, and Hamish allowed her to, knowing that she had to show her position in the hierarchy in some form. “Sit.”
At that, Randall collapsed to the ground, and was unable to arise from it. He was forbade to, unless his wolf was given permission to. “As the Chancellor, my hide has a pull to the others. A way with words you could say, if I wanted him to leave you and find a new meat suit, he’d comply without a second thought, so watch it.”
Jack made a slight movement, but Hamish shook his head. He was going to intervene. But that would not be the brightest of ideas, Randall dug his own grave, and so he’d have to get himself out of the dead ditch.
“That’s pretty sick.” Timber’s wearer spoke, although simultaneously, she wanted her friend to be okay. If he wasn’t going to be though, she thought, Hamish would have stepped in. Or at least she hoped he would have.
“On your feet knight.” There was a weight lifted from Randall’s chest, his breathing remained laboured from the fear that he had just felt, but he was given his free will back, for now at least. “Why’d you bring them here Hamish?”
At that question, the man smirked. He knew her, and he knew that she would enjoy this concept as much as the rest of them did. “We’re taking down the order.”
