Y’know, it feels symbolically important that Caine goes to the left instead of the right when traveling in the void, because going left in cinematography is usually taken as going backwards either in time or in a mindset— so like.. by doing that, Caine is metaphorically going back to the beginning and remembering why he started loving the humans in the first place.. and I think thats kinda cool
