the best version of cinderella will ALWAYS be the version with brandy as cinderella and bernadette peters as her stepmother like there is NO debate on this
Will someone talk to me about A Series of Unfortunate Event feels? Like, I’m so into the show (never read the books, though the wife has and loves them--I just didn’t get into the first one right away and never picked them up again, but I’m reconsidering). But I just love how atmospheric it is, and how it sucks you right into their little world with all its special rules. And damn but those actors are good choices all around (And let’s talk about how lolarious it is that Catherine O’Hara is in the movie and the miniseries as different characters--is she just in love with the books? Or too perfect for the roles they couldn’t pass her up? Either way I love it!). I’m super intrigued and I can’t wait for the next series, and frankly torn over whether or not to read the books now or save them until it’s all finished and be surprised.
Meanwhile, as with all things these days that are even remotely plausible for a crossover, it’s giving me Hannigram thoughts. Poor Will orphaned and Hannibal stepping in to care for him with his sinister plot. Did Hannibal kill Will’s father and/or mother? Were they rude? Did he plan on killing Will too, or decide he was going to “raise Will properly” in the absence of his a-hole parents? Or are we straying further from Hannibal cannon to fit better with ASoUE? Maybe there’s something he wants from Will and needs to manipulate him to get it. I’d probably age Will up here, at least 16, because I just have to, but as things progress Hannibal starts to realise maybe he doesn’t want to get rid of Will, and maybe Will realises he doesn’t want to get away from Hannibal’s evil influence. I have no idea. No solid thoughts. But rewatching the show I have all these things floating through my head, and they’re a lot of fun, and I want to share them with others
