The Six started out as a blues-rock band called The Dunne Brothers in the mid-sixties out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1967, they brought on drummer Warren Rhodes, bassist Pete Loving and rhythm guitarist Chuck Williams. In early 1970, after Williams was drafted and died in Cambodia, Pete’s younger brother, Eddie, joined the band in his place. At the end of 1970, keyboardist Karen Sirko quit her original band The Winters and joined The Six.
