The Stools 7/15/23 Spread Art
3/22/21.
I stumbled across a new release from The Stools - “Live At Outer Limits” - this morning. “Can’t Feel Good” is the only song currently available. This song sounded like an organized train wreck. It reminded me of The Urinals, early Black Lips, The Hives and some of the more punk songs from The Libertines.
“Feelin’ Fine” is a 4-song 7″ released by UK label Drunken Sailor. It is sold out, but I wanted to use this album as the post because you get a better feel for The Stools blues punk sound.
The Stools are from Detroit, Michigan and really do have a scuzzy sound reminiscent of other Detroit stalwarts MC5 and Protomartyr.
The live album is being released by Big Neck Records, a Virginia based label.
