Zoo keeper!Henry Cavill x fem!reader
Summary: Henry had been on a few dates with her, so now he takes her out on a very special date.

A/N: Since it's @diegos-butt her birthday today (go say congratulations!!), I wrote her a little something something, because I know this is one of her favorite Henry looks.
Henry had been on two dates with her and maybe it was a little premature, however he was falling head over heels with her.
She was gorgeous, funny and possessed every trait he was looking for in a woman. She was aware of his job as a zookeeper. It’s where they met even. She had bumped into him when he was on his way to feeding the elephants and after that, they had literally bumped into each other for four more times, each time striking up a small conversation.
Henry would’ve deprived himself from a possible future girlfriend if he didn’t take that step. So, he asked her out and thankfully she had said yes. They had spend two dates together, both times not able to say their goodbyes. What initially was intended to be a short coffee date, ended up in spending the entire afternoon together, eating dinner and watching the stars.
And now he has the perfect third date planned. He wanted it to be flawless and because she loved the zoo he worked at, he decided to take her on a special date after closing hours. His coworkers knew about the date and made sure the animals were ready to be fed.
She looked adorable in the uniform Henry had given her and it made him fall in love even more.
He watched her squeal in excitement, as the elephant used its trunk to grab the food from her hand. The monkeys loved her, sitting on her shoulder, giving her cute little hugs. The birds were very pleased to being fed by her and one parrot even said something sweet to her, borderline flirting.
Henry was already falling for her, however now there was no turning back now. As she was petting the goats, she must’ve felt someone staring at her, because she looked up at him. ‘What’s wrong?’ she asked, her tone so sweet as honey.
‘Nothing,’ he was quick to say.
‘Look at you, little Pinocchio,’ she jokingly said, faking a questionable English accent. ‘Tell me, what’s up?’
‘You like the date so far?’ Henry asked.
‘Like?’ she repeated. ‘Henry, I absolutely adore it. This is the greatest date ever! It has animals, a little sneak peak behind the scenes of work at a zoo and I get to spend time with you, which is always lovely. I mean, that’s fantastic.’
He made his way up to her, holding out his hand and she was quick to take it. They had spoken, held hands, but never had he confessed his true feelings and never had they kissed. But there was no escaping anymore.
She needed to be part of his life.
‘I really like you,’ he confessed, giving her fingers a squeeze. ‘In all honesty: I am falling in love with you.’
She smiled, so gorgeously, so enchanting. ‘I’m falling for you too, Henry,’ she said in a soft tone. ‘And not just because you have the most awesome job ever, but because you are wonderful, amazing and lovely.’
He chuckled. ‘Can I… Can I kiss you?’ he then carefully asked.
‘Of course,’ she whispered, but loud enough for him to hear it. ‘And you never have to ask again.’
They pressed their lips against each other and proverbial sparks flew around once they did. She wrapped her arms around his neck, as he snaked his around her waist, pulling her closer, desperate to feel her lips and he never wanted to let go.
But of course they would be interrupted by a very interesting creature.
‘Kissy kissy!’ they heard a parrot say, as he landed on Henry’s head. ‘Kissy kissy, mwah!’
She started to laugh, pulling out her phone. ‘Oh my, can he say that again?’
It’s like the parrot just knew he was gonna be on camera, because he showed off the best side of his face, wiggled a little and said: ‘Kissy kissy, mwah!’
