it's been pointed out that both c!sam and c!quackity spurn narrative calls to redemption while c!dream doesn't, which is so so special to me etc etc, but also i wanna point out that like. in fairness i do not think c!sam has the self-awareness to recognize a narrative call to redemption even if it hit him like a freight train. whereas c!quackity immediately recognizes it, sees it coming from a mile away, looks his chance at redemption directly in the face and walks backwards into hell. cquackity really said i hope it stays dark forever. i hope the worst isn't over
