This breakdown is SO funny. The truth is, I pull up to where a Black lady is on the front cover and if she's important, I read it and it's in my favorites.

What happened:
I am currently reading The Uncommons on Webtoon.
I'm gonna post three poems seperately because they're all kinda long, this is the first and most recent one: (it's called "The Uncommons")
A sunflower in a field of roses
dandelions fighting through cracks in a wall
Forget-me-nots in daisy meadows
one cloud in a cloudless sky
The blobfish in a swarm of guppies
sounds of hateful laughter
Some loner on the school playground
heavy breaths of disappointment
White sheets with a spot of coffee
clean spaces and a spilled trashcan
The cat amongst all ofnthe dogs
a gay between all of the straights
Some who never will fit in
some who think they are not loved
Betrayals, false friends, backstabbing
they've alles been through one thing
Commonly uncommon
black sheep amongst all the white
They have yet one thing to realize
a path they've never seen
As far as hate goes, love's to cone
uncommonly fighting against the common ones
In unsion and fully together
there is plenty enough of them
Enough love for the Uncommons
to love each other
Commonly uncommonly
The UnCommons | WEBTOON
The end of the world is about to begin, and the girl nobody listens to is the only one who sees it coming. But Iris is an inexhaustible optimist, so she packs her bags, runs away from home, and crosses continents to stop her visions of the apocalypse from coming true. She finally finds potential allies with divine abilities in the bustling Delta City, but has a cruel world stamped out their hope? Can Iris and her friends reverse a prophecy centuries in the making? Or will her vision be the last thing anyone ever sees?

I just fully caught up on The Uncommons. I've mentioned it before when I first began reading it before the Year of Turmoil that was 2024. I REALLY want y'all to read this and talk to me about it. I love it SO, SO MUCH.
Multicultural representation with a group being brought together through a lovable magical Black girl named Iris. Everyone loves her, except that inner voice that nags us (and her mama is a trip), but PLEASE. I forreal forreal need them to really come back with a season 2.
Warlord Mamas and the Daughters they tried to make as hard as themselves:
I hate to see it, but you just wanna gather them up in your bosom and make it better for a moment 😢
Commander Ergon, Final Space: Quinn Ergon
Ambessa Medarda, Arcane: Mel Medarda (Confession, I have never watched this, but I've seen the gifsets and they belong here)
The General, The Uncommons: Iris
Today’s disabled character of the day is Echo from The UnCommons, who has Hyperacusis

This afternoon we went to a brilliant board games cafe (recommended by @mcdevinpants) called The Uncommons! It was $10 to sit and play (weekend price), which was a bit of a surprise, but then we sat down, and next time we checked was 4 1/2 hours later! We'll definitely be revisiting this one.
