the concept of the only happy mel moment we got from s2e1 was when she saw dr langdon coming back
during a regular scavenge, sebastian ends up finding postcards in an office; signed with a name he doesn't care to know. most likely family of the once occupant -all he cares about is the various scenery on the back of each message. p.ai.nter would appreciate the gesture. (-he knew it hadn't been too important if it was left here, anyway.)
Apparently everyone is making work blogs on Tumblr? Idk why or how we've chosen Tumblr, since it's officially "dead", but I'm glad I don't have to get Instagram or something. I'm quite content here on this hellsite.
Agaricus here, researcher at the Magnus Institute, London (as my new boss so kindly insists we specify. Not like we're located anywhere else.)
I guess I should give a bit of info on myself? I moved here from America a few months ago, got a job as a researcher here, and Elias (that's the big boss) told me I'd be assisting the Archival staff with follow-up on statements. They'd been doing it themselves until now! That's a researcher's job!
I specialize in field research rather than sitting in a stuffy office all the time, so I'll usually be out and about. If you see me, don't say hi, I'm working and I will be very snippy<3 I'm much nicer on Tumblr where I can erase the first thing I planned to say.
↑Just read through all of that. So many words. And I am very bad at this professionalism thing. Hopefully it'll be fine.
((OOC info below the cut.))
i love an ambiguous relationship where the things that matter most are never said out loud but felt, And those feelings are shared between a glance and a nudge or a gesture or a silent offer that only the one person thats meant to understand it does. Even when theyd rather not understand they inevitably do. Its inadvertent and intentional at the same time. Effortless and thoughtful at the same time. Its never defined and outlined with words, so its a constantly shifting and changing fading in and fading out melody in the back of the mind. But also everlasting and everpresent somehow at the same time. And you resign your will at some point and just let it be.
Hi! Can I have your name? You smell like dirt!
@rosalind-learns-blogging
[PT: Hi! Can I have your name? You smell like dirt!]
Rude. I mean accurate but I'm pretty sure that dirt is one of the things you can't tell people they smell like.
Also no you may not have my name. I know what kind of creature asks that question.
Prove to me you are more than just mushrooms, shroom boy. Or don’t, you could always just yap about your fav mushroom instead
-🪶 (the bit will survive)
So just... talk about literally anything besides mushrooms?
Uh.
Did you know that carnivorous plants can't be watered with tap? They're swamp plants. Any minerals will kill them. That's why people's venus flytraps die in a matter of weeks.
You need distilled water with no minerals, or rainwater. Loose, specialized soil (with no minerals!!) and peat moss. MAKE SURE IT IS ACTUAL PEAT MOSS, AND NOT JUST DECORATIVE MOSS LABELED "PEAT MOSS" BY SOMEONE WHO DOESN'T KNOW WHAT PEAT MOSS IS.
Do your own research on how to get carnivorous plant-safe soil in your area, or online. You can probably find a book on how to grow them if you have a good library in your area.
I know the most about venus flytraps because I wanted to get one years ago (and have one now! I hope to breed it so I can give one baby each to my coworkers. There's kind of a bug problem in the archives, I've heard.
I don't like how quickly Tumblr has realized I can be bribed with mushroom samples.
"Ooh look at American boy. He's from America and has a Southern Accent," I am a bear dancing atop a giant ball for your amusement /lh
Now gimme.
