Julian shudders, for someone who grew up around Salmonids and had seen and done many crazy things in his life, people would assume nothing got to him.

But bugs? He hates bugs.

He can handle the occasional creepy crawly! He knows he has some in his home that stay hidden from his sight. But when he sees one of those house centipedes skittering across his floors, or a spider hanging out in a dark corner of his ceiling… Well, he once broke his countertop jumping onto it to run from a centipede. At least Lil Buddy was able to catch and eat it for him...

Julian leans his head on her shoulder, he'd been a bit worried since Frye had been on a losing streak since she'd last won the Spicy Vs Sweet Vs Sour Splatfest. The scores had been so close this time, he'd really thought she'd come out on top.

Oh well. There's always next time!

"Family like it too. Could hear it on outskirts of Splatsville!"

Several Smallfries had been dancing throughout the night when he'd gone to bed during Splatfest. Safe to say it was a hit with everyone.

Julian would bite his friends and family normally, that was just how he showed affection, but when he did it to them it was soft and nothing that would seriously leave a mark.

This time? Oh he was ready to bite that person hard.

He'd first tried to fight with words, he didn't want to bite them just yet. They hadn't physically attacked yet, but as they kept talking and saying things that were just plain rude...

Well, guess it's biting time.

Before Frye could even attack them herself, he immediately bit down hard on that person's arm. He was aiming to draw blood, nothing that would cause a major injury but enough to feel bad for a few days.

Julian turned as Frye ran over to him, he had been punched in the face since... well, he bit someone, but there was a little blood on his mouth...

"...Got punched. But no blood! Er... Not my blood, I mean." He grins at her, already moving to wipe his mouth with the back of his hand. He might need an ice patch though, his eye was starting to bruise a bit...

Julian immediately covers his face, cheeks flushed mint green as he nods his head.

"...Yes. A bunch of yes."

Lil Buddy snickers, nodding his head along with Julian. The Salmonid has listened to Julian talk about Frye so much... not that he really minds listening.

"Hobbies? I make things!"

Julian rummages through several drawers, pulling out some jewelry he's made, along with a few candle wicks and wax jars. There's a few pieces of scrap metal and tools hidden away in the drawer too.

"Make lots of things, mostly for presents for friends! Salmonids will find shiny objects or gems in the water for me! Jewelry is favorite to make, more fun to see others' reactions. Though candles are fun too because of the nice smells! Some of them smell like food though and Lil Buddy tries to eat them... so I make them when he sleeps."

"...Turf war also good. But everyone seems to like that."

Julian lies on his back on the floor of his apartment, still giggling to himself as he looks up at Frye. Being an idol meant Frye would get swarmed in public (to be fair, who wouldn't want to talk to her), so most of their hang out sessions would be inside. He hums, suddenly looking confused.

"Cute? Not funny?"

He tilts his head, he's used to people making fun of him snorting, not them deciding it was cute. He grins at Frye, almost immediately sitting up and leaning his head against her spot on the couch.

"Cute?? Really??"

Julian looked around, as if checking that no one was listening to their conversation. Truthfully, he's just seen it in movies and tv shows, if someone actually heard them it'd be no big deal.

"Look look!"

Pulling a plastic bag out of his backpack, he held it out to Frye. Inside were… many, MANY small plastic ducks???

"Bunch more in backpack. Place little ducks everywhere in studio for next announcement, confuse Big Man and Shiver! Or or! Place around Inkfish in Splatsville, whether eating or having fun, surprise! Little duck suddenly appears!"

"Hey hey! Julian!" Frye runs up to him with a small present wrapped up in your usual Valentine's Theme wrapping paper-- Chocolates she made herself! Milk chocolate to be exact! The best kind. She holds it out to him with her signature big toothy fanged grin.

"Happy Valentine's Day! Thanks for all the sweet treats you always make me! I wanted to give you a little somethin' in return!" @the-eel-deal

Julian’s eyes widened, immediately accepting Frye’s gift. He grinned, happily bouncing on the balls of his feet.

“Thank you Frye! Have something for you too!”

Julian pulled a small wrapped bag out from his backpack, pink wrapping and red and white hearts decorating it. Inside was several little bars of cheesecake, along with strawberry icing in the shape of hearts on top. (They’re definitely not perfect hearts, his hands aren’t that steady…)

“Last year made chocolate fudge for you! Now made no bake chocolate cheesecake bars!!”

He grins proudly, cheeks flushed. Hopefully she liked her gift as much as he liked hers. And he’d made plenty of gifts for… well, everyone. (Possibly including strangers he passed on the street. For those he knew, he had wrapped their gifts in different wrapping paper to not confuse them)
