76. Our muses are destined to meet in an Emergency waiting room
It was ironic for Sasha to be sitting in the emergency room with an upset stomach. Of all things it had to be food that betrayed her. The pain in her abdomen was excruciating and no amount of Pepto helped. So there she was sitting in the plastic chairs that lined the walls of the emergency room and praying not to vomit all over the floor.
A family sat to her left. A child was holding a bloody tissue to their nose and all the while their siblings were bouncing back and forth around them and from chair to chair screaming and hollering and even tried to get Sasha to join in whatever game they were playing. They were starting to get on Sasha’s nervs and made her feel even sicker than when she walked in. The seat to her right remained empty and hopefully someone more calm would take it so she wouldn’t feel the need to punch a child.
One of the children started screaming again and made Sasha’s head hurt. Her free hand held her temple and she hoped they would stop soon. The automatic doors opened and Sasha turned her attention to the new unfortunate soul that will have to suffer through this hell.
