“what did you do to get us exiled this time?”
@the-rogue-dragon wanted a one-liner from Caraxes
everything was cold, something satin had never felt before in all his years working at the eden club, or not that he could recall anyway. it was a frightening thought, one his mind seemed to prefer to think about rather than the events of the night that led to this cold feeling, to the thirium running down the side of his face from somewhere along the top of his head, another thought his brain would rather not focus on it would seem as it pushed the feeling of pain towards the back of his mind. the cold was better to focus on, kinder than the paling patron in the next room, never to walk away from it.
someone, something probed at his arms, causing him to jerk back in answer, yellow led switching to flash violent red as memories resurfaced. warm hands wrapped too tightly around his throat, the violent slamming of his head against the headboard until the body above him let go to thrash at the other android in the room instead until he fell limp. she escaped, leaving him alone to be found with the body, even though it was clear he was not the cause. "don't touch," he finally managed to force out, staring wide-eyed at the equally confused android in front of him until they left him be.
it felt like it continued this way for hours, though he doubted that was true. too many voices repeatedly asked him the same things, attempting to touch him or send androids to see what had happened, though he remained present enough to refuse them all. all the voices were the same until his and satin felt himself relax, drawn back to the ongoings around him to meet daemon's eyes with a soft sigh. his led flashed a light blue briefly before returning to its slow flashing yellow state as he murmured, "i did not think they would call you." it was daemon's job to handle these kinds of things; he did not come for you, he scolded himself with a soft frown.

Whispers had filled the halls of the Keep of his Uncle's return to King's Landing. A lot of the stories seemed to be between positive and negative, but Aemond felt indifferent for the most part. His mother, grandsire and Ser Criston did not seem thrilled about the return, but his father was overjoyed. Aemond had never seen the king so happy unless Rhaenyra was discussed or if she came to see him.
It hadn't been too long ago that they had watched the Blood Wyrm fly towards the pit, and a welcome party was already waiting there while he stood with his family waiting to greet the Rouge Prince. Aemond stood beside Helaena and sighed as he tried to look around him. The eyepatch became increasingly a hindrance as he turned to fully see everything. It didn't feel like it genuinely fit his face, and he wanted it off. However, he knew taking it off would only cause some to be upset. The leather was warm against his bare skin, and he hated that feeling... His arms rested behind his back as he fought the urge to reach up and adjust his eyepatch. His mother already scolding him once before, and he didn't wish to be told twice. She already had her hands full with Aegon and his apparent disinterest. Appearances were everything, and Aemond knew he was already one everyone talked about. Still, part of him was growing excited about meeting his uncle. They hadn't spoken before, and he had heard plenty of stories from his father. Still, he wondered if Daemon would treat him like the others, merely acknowledge him in passing, or he would try to get to know his family? It was all up for debate, and he didn't have much time to think about it as it seemed his uncle was finally here and ready to greet them...
@the-rogue-dragon sent: “ do you hate me? “ (ghost Nyra?)
There was a lingering silence there in the space between them as the ghost of his wife considered his question. Did she hate him? Perhaps at one point she had considered it for all the rumors of him and that girl... What was her name? Nat, no. It started with an N though that much she was certain of. It had been so long that the memories of the fear and paranoia that had been her undoing weren't still lingering. With her after life she had been reunited with her sons and those she had loved before there was no space to linger on what could have been or should have been.
"I wanted to." She finally spoke. No matter how much Rhaenyra had tried to hate him she could not bring herself to hate the man she had loved most in her life. She had loved him and needed him so passionately that she had lost him all the same for her inability to move as he wanted her to. She was so hung up on her losses and pain that she could not see what was right in front of her and appreciate his ideas and plans for what they were or what he was. "The whispers in my ears wanted me to hate you, to despise you."
Her eyes were sad as she looked at him and her hand reached for his cheek though neither of them could feel the touch. "Even when I needed you most and you were not at my side I still loved you. All of the whispers that were poured into my ear could not stop what I felt for you. I was angry, but I never hated you." And she hoped that he could believe that.
Meeting a Dragon
It was with a certain reluctance that Shireen had agreed to the plan to return to Dragonstone. While the young princess was extremely grateful to the Starks, and would not forget the debt she and her family owed them, she had known that they could could not stay in the North all winter. That would have put far too much strain on their already more than indulgent hosts, and she didn’t wish for people to go hungry through her inaction, especially not in their own homes...
So it was that she, and the remaining Baratheon people, began to travel back to their old home. The one her father had loathed and abandoned without care for he had been determined to only head forwards and never back, regardless of the consequences. Such an attitude had played a large part in claiming his life, and the lives of a great many others, in the end. Shireen was determined to avoid such mistakes. If returning to Dragonstone, with the terrible memories it held and the unease it brought her, meant those she was responsible for, those she loved, were safe, then she would do it without hesitation, pride and the spiteful tongues of others be damned.
The princess was not so naive to believe it would definitely have remained abandoned in their absence, knew they might be turned away on arrival by new settlers, but it was worth a try anyway. They could always attempt negotiations for assistance, or search for a new sanctuary elsewhere if needs be.
As their ships drew closer, Shireen stood out on the deck, watching the land coming to meet them. A new start in an old place? Maybe...
Though, that certainly could, as the girl was well aware, prove to be a fool’s hope.

@the-rogue-dragon for an arranged marriage AU | Kenna & Daemon
Kenna had originally thought that she was going to be married off to the Arryns, in the Vale and up high in the Eyrie. However, plans changed all of a sudden, and she was to marry Prince Daemon Targaryen. The volatile, impulsive prince, her cousin. She didn’t know how to feel about it, he had the reputation for being cruel and impulsive. But she knew that people were more complicated than that. She would do her duty to her house, that was for sure.
After the royal speech and presentation of the betrothed, before the actual ceremony, they were at the table, watching everyone dance. She wondered what their life would be like. As Kenna watched all the guests dancing, all their memories, their thoughts, they all blended together like ghosts dancing in their wake. She nearly got lost in it before someone suggested that the couple-to-be should give one last dance before they are to be married. “ Of course. ”

@the-rogue-dragon Daemon and Aemma
“As I’ve stated multiple times as you’ve followed me from the throne room to my bedrooms I have no idea where my brother has gone Ser Hightower.” Aemma wouldn’t say she despised her husband’s Hand, but he could be grating to the point of violence if she wasn’t careful. She also knew his opinion of women and the fact he in private had made some callous remarks about the lack of a male heir provided.
Did he think the servants wouldn’t tell her?
And now he was hounding her for Daemon’s location, no doubt to start another fight that he would spin in his favor. Daemon was wild and did as he pleased, but Otto took everything and shined the worst of it until that was all one could see. The bad blood between them was obvious to all people so her husband never truly took Otto’s side in the fights, but Aemma still thought it was getting to a time to set Otto aside for someone who didn’t have obvious attempts at cutting a path between brothers.
“And now since we’re at my rooms I must ask you to leave. The child is heavy in my belly and I want to lie down.” The glare she gave brooked no argument, she may have been born a falcon but dragon ran through her blood as well. Once alone she entered her rooms and locked the door behind her, easily moving despite the heaviness of her pregnant belly. With quick steps she went to her wardrobe and ripped the doors open, stepping out on the way in case surprise brought him tumbling out.
“Hiding behind my skirts again Daemon?”
