“Ooo, big talker, too. Good to know you’ve got some part of this right, your stealth being what it is.” Sawyer’s had one or two drinks by now - he’d thought this was a safe enough pub to do so, it’d been his hideaway for months, only went to show the dangers of being comfortable in a place. Sloppy. But it gives him what he needs to put just the right amount of snide in his bluff. “What, you’re offering mercy now? Make me say, what, I’m sorry? Doesn’t sound very satisfying for you - though I’m sure dueling in a public spot, so many bystanders, doesn’t sound too thrilling for a righteous Auror.”

“You’d lose that duel,” Neville replied, with more confidence than he’d really earned. (His dueling skills were... acceptable, not fantastic.) “So you’re better off just surrendering now.” But the Snatcher was right. There were too many people around to do this safely, and Neville didn’t have any backup.

Not that he needed to know that. “There are five more aurors outside, by the way. In case you were thinking of running.”

Sawyer jumped what felt like a foot in the air at the yell, hand going to his wand as he spun to face in the direction Malfoy was pointing. His eyes squinted as he focused between the trees - to him they only appeared to sway in the wind. “The fuck is what- what’re you yelling ‘bout, there’s nothing there!” he groaned, giving him a dirty look. Except there was a snapping sound behind him now, and with an embarrassing shriek he turned and flung a curse at the ground a few feet away. There was a small explosion of leaves, but the shadow slithered back out of sight before he could comprehend what it was. His heart in his throat he glanced this way and that, trying to catch sight of it again. “Shit, were you followed?”

Draco JUMPED at the sudden flash of spell from the other’s wand. Such a FAINT-HEARTED boy. He had to pocket his hands just to conceal their TREMBLING.

“Do you think I’m an idiot?” He snipped back, making a feeble attempt to maintain even an OUNCE of his pride after the fright. His eyes still fearfully searched the shadows for whatever had been lurking.

“An Auror was behind me...” He admitted through gritted teeth, adverting his eyes. “Guess she found someone else to harass about ‘death eater’ conspiracies.”

“I found you beat half to death in a dumpster. When I said I would call 9-1-1 you punched me in the face and said no before passing out.”

“Yeah that sounds like me.” Phil hazarded. He can only see out of one eye. Hopefully it’s just swollen shut. Feels like that’s the case. Hopefully he hasn’t broken an orbit or anything. “Sorry. And thanks.”

I haven’t done a whole whole lot with Professor Neville, especially right when he first starts. I feel like that’s a big change for Nev, showing him letting go of his need to hunt down all the Aurors and make them pay, to instead him doing a job that he just enjoys. I’m always down for more threads there.

What is your character’s opinion of the other Houses?

Wizarding World Questions

Lydia has a generally neutral opinion of the other houses. She doesn’t really judge people based on rumors, she’s pretty good at judging them based on their actions and trusts her gut when it comes down to deciding whether or not she should give a person a chance. SlytherinOne of Lydia’s closes friends is a Slytherin, but aside from him, many of them aren’t really on her list of people she likes to hang around. She finds that too many of them look down at her, either because they have a low opinion of her for one reason or another, or because someone else has that low opinion and they are simply following suit. RavenclawPretty cool. She finds they can be a bit pompous sometimes? She doesn’t really hang around with Ravenclaw students that much, but doesn’t mind them.GryffindorOh man. The Gryffindors. Loud, no self-control and with little regard for rules if they can’t see the reason behind them. If Lydia is into her sleeve, it can very possibly be because of something a Gryffindor have done. But at the same time, you can see her rolling eyes eyes at them more often than not, or looking like she feels a mighty need to nail their robes into the floor to prevent them from doing something she thinks is hasty.

ѩ - Are there any characters that you love, but simply cannot role play?

I’ve attempted Rom from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine several times, and every once in a while I consider bringing him back. But he has a very difficult voice to capture, especially in text form, so he always fizzles pretty quickly. The same happened to Doc Emmett Brown from Back to the Future. And there are a few characters I either don’t roleplay or I keep confined to Discord because I don’t care for the current fandoms here on Tumblr.

ᚡ - Random fact about the mun?

I was a theater/choir kid all through middle and high school, and I miss it so badly. I sort of want to get involved volunteering for stage crew and tech stuff at the local community theater, but I never got an email back when I asked and I’m too scared to try again :P

㉘ - How do you usually spend your birthdays?

It’s usually not terribly exciting. Basically just a regular day, except if family or friends are around we’ll go out to dinner (birthday person always picks). Tbh I don’t really need a whole fuss around my birthday anymore.
