Decoy Magazine presents the third theme of Happenstance: A series of temporary public artworks. The theme is Words. This participating piece is by Alixzandar Morle. "The 20" is a poem based on Alix's experiences riding the 20 bus, and his encounters with its passengers. The 20 runs along Victoria Drive, beginning in south Vancouver, at Southwest Marine Drive. After crossing Kingsway heading north, the bus converges with Commercial Drive until it heads west into the Downtown East Side via Hastings St. The 20 ends its route at Robson St and Richards St downtown.  For Words, Alixzandar is fragmenting the poem, writing it in chalk on sandwich board signs outside participating businesses along a portion of the 20's route, from East Hastings + Heatley Ave to Commercial Drive + Kitchener St. He will be guiding a public walking tour, giving the audience a brief introduction to the business followed by discussing the select lines on their sign. This collaboration with Decoy will be used to highlight the second opening of "The 20" art exhibition at Agro Coffee Roasters on Clark Dr. which opens on May 5th. The tour will be an hour long.
