Skopje. When you get to the city centre one can't but feel overwhelmed by the number and size of a wide set of statues that don't quite match. The funny thing is that after the first shock, imagination pushes them back and they loose their grandiosity. And the city gains warmth and a welcoming spark. I was driving pass when i overheard chantings - it sounded like a choire of angels. And all the girls and boys were wearing traditional costumes. I parked the motorbike and walked towards the wooden gate. A man came out and invited me in. They were rehearsing before the festivities. I was welcomed in and they happily gathered around me to know who I was and what I was doing alone in that region. We talked and had a good laugh while i photographed and filmed them.
