Jelly drops his voice a little lower, like he's offering her a guilt-free way out and a sweet deal all in one. "I can put on the kiddie bumpers for you. Won't even judge. Normally I only put 'em on for, uh, y'know, kids, but hey - everyone has to start somewhere."

Just his luck, that was all that Rafael could think of as he blinked up at the sky, the first fat rain drops falling to smack him in the forehead. Of course he had known that there was a chance for rain that night, but it hadn’t stopped him from heading out, dressed in jeans and boots and a flannel, which was not his typical style in the least, but felt right for the occasion. Just as he ducked under one of the nearby food pavilions, the sky opened up more, and he let out a relieved breath. “Thank God,” he let out a laugh as he turned to the person next to him. “Are you taking shelter from the rain, too? It should just be a quick shower... knock on wood.”

Where: Flourish and Blotts Who: Dirk & @theamctavish​

When Dirk walked into Flourish and Blotts and saw Thea was at front of house today, he didn’t even bother going over to the Foreign Language section, instead heading straight her way. He was a reasonably quick reader and it had been a long time ago that he had discovered how useful reading was in developing his languages so he had reached a point where he had read his way through a lot of the section. “Hi, Thea,” he said smiling at her. “How are you today?” he asked it to be polite and because he thought it was terrible the way some people would go into a shop and immediately demand help without considering the person they were talking to but the question of if she had anything new that he might be interested in burnt on his tongue.
