The Lab 🎭 . The acting community is.... well, it's kind of this magical, surreal place to me. I began studying acting in 2015, and I approached it with the same confidence, conviction and heart, as I had brought into the previous pursuits in my life. However, different from what I experienced in those other twp pursuits, acting was the first place that I really felt accepted and supported by others in the community. . It was like, "Oh, what?! This is so weeeeeeird!! This is what it feels like to be part of a group? Oh, this is what it feels like to be supported, and respected, and cheered on by your peers. I've never experienced this before. How delightful!!" I'd just never really had that or felt that before outside of my actual family. . The Actor's Lab, which was this group, and a few others who weren't in the photo, gave me that experience. Since then, the acting world at large has continued to reflect that, but the people at The Lab were the first. Tgus is goes without saying that these people all have a special place in my heart. I don't imagine that ever changing. . The Actor's Lab is headed by @krissy1407. I was a part of The Lab from July 2016 to November 2017, and I recommend it to anyone living in Portland. The classes weren't just acting. It was a lot about life too, and I think that's one thing that made them so magical to me. . This photo was taken in class which fell on Halloween. How fitting!!! October 31, 2016, to be exact. Of course we all dressed up. I mean, it's acting class so we dress up half the time anyway, but still 😄 . As I'm writing this I just remembered some of the funny things that happened on this Halloween Lab night including Kristina pretending to be a super strict acting teacher from England, not recognizing Nicole in her costume, and a few other things. Oh what a fun night that was 🎃 . #Acting #Actor #TheActorsLab #Halloween https://www.instagram.com/p/B3yDlWABzCi/?igshid=s2gpjensa9ok
