Summary:

Just because Matteo is kind of David's date at this party, Laura and her friends shouldn't assume that Matteo and David are dating - but they're assuming just that anyway, and that means a lot of trouble for Matteo, who harbors big secret feelings for his friend. It could be so nice if everything everyone thought was true, especially tonight when David is extra affectionate. But these wrong assumptions get Matteo in a lot of trouble, and he's just trying to survive this party night without getting hurt too much. If only he could talk to David about it all...

Because sometimes, one of the girls from earlier would walk by when David and him were deep in conversation, and Matteo would notice them and blush and wonder. How must it look like to an outsider who thought they were a couple? The two of them, sitting on a couch. Matteo’s elbow on the backrest, leaning his head against his hand, probably smiling. David’s whole body turned towards Matteo, leaning closer so he could hear Matteo better. It made sense that those girls would think they were a couple. And it made Matteo feel a lot of things at once. Excited, guilty. A little scared maybe. And so in love.

Why did he CARE? He was an arms width away from so much fucking money. This was everything he’d ever wanted, everything he’d ever worked for was so goddamn close, he could see it, he could taste it. He had to go and fall in fucking love.

my hopes for the ringsy storyline is that the writers are taking it slow so that there's some time for everyone involved to "heal" idk??? like, right now, and once the truth comes out, there'll be definitely no chance for easy and ringo to get together. and imo there's already some signs that ringo's redemption ark has begun, so i'm not giving up hope just yet, even though all spoilers for the future seem to suggest that ringsy is hopeless

Yeah, it seems like it’s gonna be a verrrrrrrrrry long slow burn. I think we’ll get some stuff before Ringo’s scheming is revealed, and then we’ll get him groveling (@ god pls) and even more slow burn! But I am excited and optimistic!!

frost - if you could give some advice to your younger self, what would you say?

ummm...actually think about your opinions and don’t just believe what your dad/crush/etc believes or what you think is cool and edgy to believe. But also, be kinder with other people and less ready to jump to conclusions about their beliefs. (I could still use that second piece of advice now, actually)

maple - is there a hobby / skill that you’ve always wanted to try but never did?

ummm...i’d love to learn to surf but it’s always been a little too scary for me, which is why i’ve stuck to bodyboarding. One day, maybe.

bonfire - describe your dream house.

ooh me and anni were actually discussing this yesterday! it would be comfy, not too big but big enough, and it would have a library (I want a library so bad I can’t even tell you), a big-ish kitchen (it doesn’t have to be massive but I want enough space to cook lots and have lots of crockery/equipment/food and not have to wash up just for space reasons (because i’m lazy and washing up is hard on my executive dysfunction), and I really want a little herb/vegetable garden. Other than that, preferably two bedrooms (because I like to have my own space sometimes), possibly open-plan lounge/dining room/kitchen, and maybe somewhere near the sea? Because I love the sea. But I’d also like to be close-ish to a city.

@thealpacalypse it's pretty damn lovely. Also there's a literal fucking nature reserve round the back of campus lol. It's an all pervading myth around here that Exeter has the most trees on its campus per student in the country.
