“I’m glad I’m just- My head’s all over the place right now.” He said and ran a hand through his hair. “Guess that we both should start paying a bit of more attention then.” He said, the corners of his lips twitching up slightly and a small laugh left his lips. “I’m Scott.” He told him, his hand reaching out for his but he stopped at his next words. “I wish that it wasn’t really.” He said, the sadness clearly returning to his eyes and he swallowed. “My girlfriend’s there… She got hit by a car.” He told him, his voice quiet and his eyes found his. “It’s nice-” It was then that he had finally reached for his hand, and suddenly a sharp kind of pain, spread across his palm and he instantly pulled it back. “Fuck- What the hell-” He breathed, his gaze drifting down to his own palm and his eyebrows pulled together. Something weird had just happened, something extremely weird, and also painful. He hadn’t imagined that shaking someone’s hand could burn his own and a simple word crossed his mind. Wolvesbane. “Who the hell are you?”
“Sorry man—-” It was clear that something was going on with the kid. He didn’t know the circumstances but he wasn’t going to poke and pester him to find out either. That would just cause more unnecessary stress “I hope things turn around for ya” was what he offered instead. “Ha, humph. It appears we should” The fact that this guy could still try to remain lighthearted showed some real courage. After his parents died he couldn’t manage even a lick of respect to those he loved and cared about most. “Nice to meet you Scott,” he replied, his smile now dissipating into a frown. “Damn… That’s fucked up, is she going to be okay? Did they arrest the bastard that did it?” His eyes grew wide as the kid reacted to the mixture seeped into his palm. “Shit,” he swallowed down thickly at the inquiry. “I told you my name already” he replied. The tone he used implied he wasn’t trying to be a dick. His eyes scanned the kids hands and when he noticed that he wasn’t wearing a daylight ring he was certain of his species “You’re a werewolf?” His bushy brows furrowed “Sorry about that…” Jeremy knew that not all werewolves posed a threat and because he hadn’t caught any wind of actual animal attacks recently he assumed that Scott was no exception. He was a bit surprised at the serious control he had over his temper though. Tyler would have had his ass for bumping into him back in the day “I’m a hunter… It’s kinda in the job description… I need know who’s who around here and sometimes supernaturals such as yourself aren’t very open when it comes to letting me know. Not that I blame them”
