Family Visit ( @thebattlewornhunter )
Several months passed before Fefnir was able to see X again.
Time was fluid in cyberspace - it passed by without anyone keeping count. to the Fire Guardian, it had only felt like a week since he had last tried to seek out the old reploid, but in reality, it had been almost seven months since he had actually seen him.
During that time, however, the cyberelf had gotten stronger. He had managed to hoard some energy crystals for himself and his siblings, and he was now able to hold his projected form for far longer than a mere hour. His actual cyberelf form, too, had changed, and he was beginning to look more like a miniature version of himself.
But that wouldn't matter in seeing his master. His... father...
Eventually, Fefnir found the strange gateway in cyberspace that allowed him to jump dimensions, and he jumped through it like always. The tiny cyberelf landed in the distant futuristic timeline, and he flew towards the coordinates that had been given to him and after an hour of flying, he landed in front of what he assumed was X's house.
The dragon they had built together, at least, was a dead giveaway.
Assuming his projected form, Fefnir smiled and stroked the creature's head before he walked up the path and knocked on X's door.
He would be lying if he said he wasn't feeling a little nervous.
