Lily Evans was skipping class. Well, she wasn't skipping class, per say but...she was skipping class. She just didn't want to deal with potions today and her former friend's 'apologies.'

Head buried in a book--a lousy place for a head to be buried when one is walking--Lily let her feet walk her far away from the potions classroom, far away from the dungeons. It was easy for her to forget the world existed.

Which, as it turned out, wasn't a good thing.

If the scene was played back in slow motion, one could see the collision happen quite unnecessarily. The clumsy red head crashes into a black haired boy, books flying everywhere, ink bottles crashing open as the red head was rebounded unto the floor with a shocked umf.

"Merlin, I'm so sorry," Lily began, picking up the boy's things. "If I've told myself once, I've told myself a million times, I need to pay attention to where I'm going." She handed the student his things, noticing first his tie. Green and silver striped. Another Slytherin. Naturally.

Scowling, Lily then noticed his features. He looked very much like a slightly younger version of a housemate; he had the same black hair, though this boy cropped it short, and the same grey eyes.

"You're Sirius Black's brother, yeah?" she added awkwardly. Wonderful.
