I was reading the book of Matthew, chapter 7,
"Fix Yourselves First" was the message I have received today. Jesus addressed this very thing when He said, "Why do you look at the speck in your brothers eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?... First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye" (Matthew 7:3,5)
Couples would find marriage much more enjoyable and blessed if each partner would concern themselves more with smoothing out their own rough spots than with smoothing out those of their spouse.
The same goes with our colleagues, friends, family members, and specially to the government during this pandemic, instead of trying to correct each other, ranting and whining about todays happenings that may results to frustration, anger, bitterness- all of which can be poison to any human relationships, try a different approach by praying for your situation, for the people around you, for the government, meditate the word of God, and see how He changes everything. "Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets." (Matthew 7:12) Verse 1 also reminded and warned me about this, "Judge not, that you be not judged."
What to do? Pray. ASK, SEEK, KNOCK. Ask the Lord for affirmation, Seek for answers, and Knock to the door (answer for your prayer) for the word says, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened." (Matthew 7:7-8)
