However this year @theblockassociation has consciously decided to #takeaknee on doing our yearly filled to capacity Super Bowl event in celebration of something ELSE! This Super Bowl Sunday we #theblockboys will be fully supporting @kaepernick7 #takingastand for us so we will creatively take one for him by doing our VERY FIRST game day event WITHOUT watching the broadcasted game! Someone needs to film a documentary or reality tv mini series of the making of @thefashion500 cause I know people would not believe the luck/grind/ and shear effort we put into the production of pulling off a (yearly) awards show in a industry that's NEVER had one highlighting people of color! Not one but now we have TWO with @thesewfarsewgood being our second one later this year for the "next in line" fashionistas. But WE DID IT! And we're both proud and super excited about our list of honorees this year. Which contains for the first time EVER two models, and we've add an Icon Award pick to the roster.
